Reasonable size room with good location close to Joshua Tree. However, the room’s floor was dirty and sticky and left black marks on feet. Breakfast was free but fairly basic with limited choices. Would not stay here again.

Everyone was helpful and friendly not only for the hotel services but gave me great directions. I have family living in both 29 and Yucca and I have not been here in 20 years. Both towns have grown. They let me know of some places to see and I really enjoyed Pioneer Town and looking forward to returning again.

Convenient to Joshua Tree, but that's all.

This hotel should not be considered a Best Western facility. The room itself was adequate but the common areas of this hotel were unacceptable. I realize they were remodeling however, there was trash in the stairwells and by the main entrance which does not give a good first impression. The breakfast room was extremely small and not a very nice atmosphere. We stayed here due to the fact that it was close to Joshua Tree and was reasonably priced. If we are ever back in the area we will definitely pay more for a nicer accommodation. One positive note, the women at the front desk were very nice - they should be working at a better hotel!

Used some Reward Points and assigned room needed serious remodeling as vinyl floor was pealing up. Not very clean either. Door lock broken and staff had real problem getting it to open even with master key. The jacuzzi was broken as was the ice machine. The motel wasn't far from entrance to Joshue Tree Natl Park which was convenient. Would not choose this place again.

Bed bugs and filthy rooms

We awoke to a bedbug under my husband's pillow and found them in the bathroom as well. We have the bites to prove it. Originally they offered to heat treat our room with our stuff in it and not move us. The hotel eventually moved us to room 601, but condemned our room 203 and didn't want to let us back in to move our stuff to our new room. We were with a group and were leaving the next am. With an eye roll and a huff, she finally made us a key to our first room 203. Next am, we get a bill for full price. The desk offered us 15% off. That was not acceptable. I spoke to Dawn the manager this am and she said she talked to them and advised them, but they did not do as she asked every step of the way. Dawn comped us one night. This place needs serious attention. Others changed rooms because they were very poorly cleaned with large stains on the floor and dirty linens . Room 601, our second room, smelled horribly of cigarette smoke. London said it was the only room available and that was a lie too. We had a group of 10 and thought we were booking the other location up the road. We decided to stay at Sure Stay for convenience, and that was a big mistake.
