Beauty abounds in this sanctuary of nature and light. Situated on a small lake on special acreage, Willowtail is place of quiet sanctuary, but with the attractions of Southwest Colorado within close proximity.

I was lucky enough to spend a week in the artistically appointed bungalow. The cozy space was filled with artwork and unique decorations. There was a bookcase stocked with books. While I went there to write, anyone who needs an antidote to the noise and speed of the world would appreciate this time away. You can listen to the coots and hear the many birds (we saw red-winged blackbirds, swallows, and magpies), walk alongside gorgeous gardens, take a canoe out on the pond, or just relax. Delicious homemade jam, bread, fruit, and eggs were in the refrigerator, and the kitchen is stocked with spices and everything you need. You won't regret this time away from the fast pace of everyday life.

What a hidden beauty- I stayed in the Lakeside Cottage! What a surprise when I walked into this place! I love antiques and the decor is all that plus!! The owners, Peggy & Lee have one of the best kept secret of a place to relax for a few days!! Beautifully decorated, comfortable bed with good pillows, Red kitchen complete with a Red/Stainless Steel Microwave (that must have taken a lot of hunting)! I will return for a longer stay and bring my family next time!!! Thank you for such beautiful surroundings which made my few days there very relaxing! Loved watching it snow over the lake!!!

My new wife and I stayed in the Bungalow, which has a wonderful view over the Pond. Peggy and Lee put a fantastic eye and tasteful touch to decorating the Bungalow, and making the whole resort a perfect Artists' retreat! Lee was fantastic as our officiant, and performed our wedding wonderfully!! "Lee's Tree" is a nice touch! Perfect location, close to Mancos which has some wonderful restaurants, and just a short drive from Mesa Verde National Park. Willowtail Springs is a true gem!

This place is by far the best small wedding venue in southwest Colorado. My husband and I always liked this side of Colorado so when we decided to get married, we started to look at Durango area. Even Durango has lots of wedding venues, We didn't really feel right in any places. So we started to look at Mancos and this place came up. We find out this was exactly what we were looking for. Quiet, Private, and Amazing view. Lee the owner gave us amazing read and married us by their private Lake also Peggy, the other owner was the witness. After the ceremony, we had photoshoot at their beautiful garden areas and also I got to ride canoe. We were glad how we got married here without loud party and lots of guests. For the cabin, We stayed at Lake house and it was just so stunning and we were surrounded by beautiful flowers, arts, and view. Lake house looks over the lake and mountains. I think this place is the best romantic and magical place in Colorado. I can't wait to come back soon. Thanks again Peggy and Lee for the wonderful hospitality.
