The place is very cute and in a quiet location. The staff and breakfast were the best parts of our stay. The staff was available, friendly, and helpful! Breakfast had plenty of yummy options. The room wasn’t bad but not “luxury”, the bed was pretty firm and the heater was making a clicking noise that woke me up sometimes. We stayed two nights, and did not realize house keeping would come in while we were out, personally I would have preferred they just passed us up since we didn’t ask for it. It was definitely a good stay, just not quite what we were expecting.

I booked the Hounds Tooth Inn due to its affiliation with Hyatt and the ability to redeem points for a free one-night stay. We were given the cottage as a complimentary upgrade because the fireplace did not operate. Overall, the cottage was spacious with one king murphy bed and a trundle bed. No walls within the cottage except for the bathroom which limits privacy for families/groups. The beds were not particularly comfortable. The furnishings were average, and the decor was average/economy. I would liken it more to an Airbnb than a "Small Luxury Hotel." I'm not sure when it received that designation, but the decor and attributes are a bit dated for today's luxury standards and there is some upkeep and attention to detail needed in my opinion to warrant such a designation. Overall, it appears better in the photos than in person. The setting of the Inn is very charming/scenic, and it is a good location as far as off-park accommodations if you are traveling to Yosemite. There are restaurants and amenities nearby. Parking is free and the breakfast provided in the morning was good. The staff are helpful and welcoming. Overall, I think it needs a renovation to continue its designation as a small luxury hotel of the world.

10 out of 10!! This place is charming, peaceful, the staff is friendly and the food is so good! We stayed in the cottage which gave us a large front porch with a gorgeous view, kitchen, huge jacuzzi bath with a bath bomb, dining table, king bed and a day bed that our 1st and 2nd grade boys slept on. The fire place was out but that's another amenity that's offered. Can't say enough about the hounds tooth inn. Can't wait come back.

A very nice inn, maybe not luxury level, but for sure good price to quality. Rooms are ok, but the best is the location, lobby, nice atmoshphere, good evening reception, solid and tasty breakfast. The location is really good. In short, not luxury, but for sure unique and small. Recommend to go and stay. The rooms would need a bit of technology upgrade and more warm lights. I heard plans to upgrade are in talks

Every colleague from 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift was very nice and the breakfast was great. The chef there that makes breakfast is also very hospitable. Tammy checked us in that works second shift, she did a great job and checked in with us throughout our stay. We really appreciate her genuine care. We stayed on our world of hyatt points which is cool that they are affiliated with Hyatt. As a loyal hyatt member I would recommend this hotel to all. The cookie were a nice touch when checking in, and coming home after a day in Yosemite to play some board games that they have in the lobby was always exciting. I don’t drive a EV and will never buy one, but if you have one they do have two types of charging stations if you do, multiple chargers of I think a couple different brands.
