with many choices to choose from, I selected hounds tooth inn. and let me tell you, I travel a lot, and this is at the very top of the conversation as being the cleanest, friendliest, place I’ve ever stayed. The staff, well I can’t say more great things about them. The rooms were well appointed and the breakfast was fantastic. I am definitely coming back here even as a solo non-business trip. It was that good.

The property doesn’t match the pictures online. Landscape and exterior have room for improvement. Bed and linens were fine. AC unit did not work properly. It had to be set on 66 to cool but still didn’t keep up. Fan doesn’t run all night so it continued to loudly go on/off all night. Ceiling fan needs replaced—it was old and noisy. Bandaid was in the drain of the shower upon arrival and carpet needs replaced. TV didn’t work. Please use these comments to improve unit 4.

Potential but many missed opportunities

For a bed and breakfast, the food was horrible. Definitely pre frozen, pre packaged foods. Nothing you would except from a bed and breakfast. We couldn’t finish our meals. The pancakes were pre frozen, pre packaged, same for the muffins and sausage. My omelette was covered in margarine, not even butter, globs of margarine. Really bad. Wi-Fi is pretty much non existent. It was very difficult to work while I was there. Super frustrating. Totally not worth $400 a night. Very far from the park. Definitely a one time visit. A lot of potential but tons of missed opportunities. There is no wine happy hour as as advertised as they are waiting on their liquor license.

The Hounds Tooth Inn is NOT a luxury hotel. It is bare minimum. While the breakfasts are decent, not special, the room is sub-par, not enough towel racks or counter space, terrible low end tv service, happy hour no wine, average pre-made packaged hor d’oeuvres. Falsely advertised as a “spa” (jetted tub in some rooms only ???) Totally over priced, an average 2-star bnb at the most. They dpent more on their marketing book than on upgrades to the rooms.

Great location, to be fair astounded at the lack of real choice in this area. Nice place, but a little shabby round the edges .. attention to detail. lack of outside space with loungers and canopies would have been nice. Bathrooms a bit small and low rent on fittings and fixtures.
