The motel has some bad reviews but we had an excellent experience.
When I was booking the motel I noticed not-so-great reviews but I decided to book anyways for two reasons. One, it is a walking distance from the port, the restaurants and a grocery supermarket. Second, it was very affordable. The location could not be better - it took us 5 minutes to walk in the morning to the cruise check in. We stayed in the room on the second floor and we had no issues. The room was a tad outdated but it was clean and quiet. It had a working refrigerator. There is free coffee in the lobby in the morning. The manager was extremely nice and accommodating, you can tell he actually cares about making sure the guests are comfortable. The only thing I could point to is the appearance of the motel on the outside (a little worn for sure) but it didn't bother us. We knew this was a roadside motel and we expected it. You can't beat the price there - it is the most affordable place in Seward. If you are looking for a place to sleep and convenience, this is a good place to book.

Dirty and hot.
Dirty and the heat was always on in the room. The management clearly knew about the issue because we had a huge fan in the room. We were boiling all night. Also stains on the towels and no extra toilet paper. Bed was old, squeaky, and smelly. Camping would be better.

Be careful with their booking tactics
I booked here and was charged for the room. According to the cancellation policy on the booking site, the booking could be canceled for free. Then- when I did end up having to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, I was charged a fee. This is not okay to do this to people.

Avoid as much as possible
Very poorly maintained and managed hotel. Cleanliness is below par. Chipped walls, dust everywhere and poor condition of the premises all point to a neglected property. Avoid as much as possible. Only positive is the location. Walking distance to downtown area and Safeway grocery.

The worst place we have stayed while in Alaska!
Very few outlets, No AC. The room was around 90 deg all night. People knocking on the door at 1am. No towels, no shampoo or body wash. Had to fix the screen so we could have the window open. Tv only one channel and every time I tried to hook up to their WiFi it said I had to move closer and would not connect... all in all it is not worth the trouble. And this was the second room they gave us. The first room was right next to the laundry room (big dryers) even hotter?
