Excellent customer service staff! The shuttle picked my son up at 2 am . The room was nice , clean and very comfortable. Making the reservation was very easy. Staff at the front desk were super helpful. I highly recommend this place !!!!!!!!!

Both rooms we stayed in is dirty. Not to hotel standards. Pool is dirty and lacks chlorine. Pools bathroom door doesn’t close. We changed rooms because the door handles didn’t lock. Anyone could walk right in even with the door bolt engaged. We can hear heavy foot steps above us and definitely heard intimacy.

I was booked to attend training and I was bit skeptical at first reading some of the reviews but realized most were from when the hotel was owned by another company. I was pleasantly surprised, it was clean and quiet, the staff was so friendly, and they had a huge jacuzzi bathtub in the middle of the room which I used every night. I felt safe and slept well, occasionally you could hear the train but it wasn't too loud. I definitely would stay there again.

Two Minute Drive to Train Station

I opened Google Maps to view hotels near the Anchorage Train Station. Wingate by Wyndham Anchorage is only a two minute drive to the Train Station. Free shuttle service and free warm breakfast won my attention. Remember to make a reservation for the free shuttle service.

Upon arrival at 8:45 am, no one was working the desk. When we entered our room, the bed was not completely made. The toilet had not been cleaned. There was stained urine on the bowl and black hair in the bowl. Breakfast was 6-9. We arrived at 8:20 to empty condiment bowls. Less than soft scrambled eggs. Some bread to toast. And, a couple of cereal choices. A guest accidentally dropped his bowl of cheerios on the counter. It stayed that way until 9 am. Guests who came just before 9 were out of luck as the eggs & sausage were gone & the hotel staff could not replenish it because the hotel had run out. There were some issue with the hotel not extending several guests’ stays during our 2 days there, so the desk was oftentimes a very stressful area. The hotel ‘s parking lot oftentimes had people just hanging out in it. Someone tried to enter our room twice in the 2 days we were there. Our guest key always took 5-7 tries to work. This was the first and last time we will book here.
