We met cousins at this hotel, and we were all impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms, parking immediately outside the room, great as it was snowing. The cafeteria was good, reception is open 24hours and there’s also a gift shop attached. We did a tour of the canyon floor which was amazing, you can also drive to several lookouts for a high view of the canyon. Beautiful area, incredible scenery!

This was my second visit to this lodge and it was just as good as I remembered. It's within the monument so you're away from the hustle and bustle of traffic, and close to the reason you came to visit in the first place. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Staff is helpful. Following a wifi availability query, an IT person was at my door within minutes. That was a first for me! A gift shop and cafeteria are just steps away from the rooms.

Wow, this was a wonderful hotel ... the room was beautiful, clean and delightful to sleep in. The design is well thought out, staff friendly and local. Contrary to the inexpensive price, the quality was exceptional and we would definitely come and stay again.

We really enjoyed staying at the Thunderbird Lodge. The rooms were clean and well-kept. The rooms were warm on chilly nights. It was very quiet. The attached cafeteria had a limited menu for those of us who don't eat meat, but there were still a few options (and we travel prepared). They do not serve beer or wine so we also came prepared so we could unwind after a day of hiking around Canyon de Chelly. There is also a nice gift shop on the premises where you can also support local businesses.
