The lodge check in room is on the side of an extensive gift shop filled with interesting crafts. Lots to check out while you check in. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was extra but there is a wide selection quite reasonably priced.

Right in the park. Room was clean, warm, (cold in early November), and provided food. Food was delicious but limited. Took the full day tour direct from the Lodge. Worth every penny. Recommend it to everyone, but understand, it is an open air vehicle and you are knocked around for eight hours. The views are so worth the aching body the next day.

This lodge, run by the very hospitable Navajos, is inside the park with easy access to all the sights and tours. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and reasonable. The cafeteria had good choices of food at very good prices. I actually tried mutton stew for the first time and found it delicious. Special thanks to Cassandra, who always brightened my morning.

This is our second stay at The Thunderbird this year. Everything is clean and well kept, the staff is very helpful, and the property fits the tours of the Canyon perfectly. We cannot wait to return. We enjoyed the first snow of the year and a full day Canyon tour with an excellent guide. Special thanks to Marie, David, and Arlinda.

The only hotel inside Canyon de Chelly National park, owned and run by the Navajo nation. Spacious, quiet and comfortable motel-style room. Laundry machines on site. The restaurant is canteen-style, reasonably cheap but very basic food (and no alcoholic drinks).
