Worst hotel and totally a rip off ! I paid USD 497 for 2 nights through Hotwire.com and realised upon checking in that I and my son shall be sharing the bathroom with others !!! Inspite of paying USD 250 per night for a hotel that too sharing bathroom with other guests ! This is totally misleading ! The hotel staff was asking an additional USD 219 per night to provide me a room with a bathroom !!!!! Ridiculous isn’t it ! When I called HOTWIRE they simply shrugged off and put the blame back on to me saying that it was written on the reservation about shared bathroom ! How could someone ever think of sharing bathroom after paying USD 500 dollars per night ????? Please be very careful and read fully while booking from HOTWIRE I had really terrible experience! Worst customer experience from Hotwire !!!!

The perfect place to stay in Seward! Great views, good parking, and a superbly welcoming hotel team!

A wonderful stay in Seward, Alaska. The decor in the lobby and rooms are very Alaskan and charming. Friendly welcome at check in, and lots of help throughout our stay (fellow traveler needed extra care, and they helped transport her from the room to the breakfast space at nearby Edgewater Hotel, and to dinner at the lovely in-hotel restaurant, 5th Avenue Bistro)! Thank you for your excellent care!

Hotel Steward false online room advertising.

Hotel Seward’ was once a wonderful and beautiful place to get away with loved ones and enjoy the ambiance of Old Seward. We booked an Executive King bedroom advertised with premium bedding, down comforters and pill top bed for the night at over $400.00 plus tax and you would think at that price you would get the best which would include at least a bottle or two of water. Total false advertising NO MORE…..the website shows pictures of the rooms that are so misleading and as of today have not been updated. They have taken the beauty of the old and replaced it with low end Motel style room accommodations. We are talking about the cheapest towels and toiletries, the cheapest sheets and bed covers with a room that is just dark and gloomy but advertising it as an Executive King bedroom with premium amenities to include bedding, down comforters and pill top bed. Total false advertising. I’m not even mentioning the service or employees at the front desk which is another story. Very disappointed considering what we paid for a one-night stay. I will definitely not recommend or stay at Hotel Seward’ in the future and would recommend that others do not as well. You will be very disappointed!

The portion of the building we stayed in was older, so the rooms were smaller than a normal modern hotel. They were furnished in a way that reflected the past era. Which was nice actually, the hotel was full of stuffed animals and woodwork. In the area we were in, there were shared bathrooms. Which wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. But it wasn’t ideal. It is located in downtown and there are some interesting building architecture and murals nearby. As well as the Alaska Sea Life Center, Lowell Waterfall, Hoben park is nearby and it has some Iditarod statues and information, all within minutes walk. Also a nice walk along the waterfront. The harbor is maybe a 20 minute walk from the hotel where there are boat tours and fishing.

Great food and drinks!

The lobby was beautifully done! We really enjoyed drinks at the hotel bar with a wonderfully nice bartender named Shengyu. He was fantastic! We also ordered food and even our picky eaters said it was wonderful! Thank you again! We will be back!
