Great place in Zion
We had a lovely stay at the Holiday Inn Express Springdale. The setting is gorgeous. Great options at breakfast. We didn't use the pool or hot tub but they seemed very nice and had a great view. We really appreciated that it was walking distance to many different attractions and restaurants. We liked to come back from a long day hiking to sit by the fire pits and enjoy some ice cream or cocktails. The room was clean and well-appointed. Highly recommend if visiting Zion.

Reading a post that the reservation was canceled due to invalid credit card. I had a similar experience. Luckily I received a call when I was on the top of Angel’s Landing with signal and provided a valid credit card one more time. In my reservation, I requested to be away from elevator but I was assigned a room right next to elevator. After I pointed out and as a premium IHG member, I was able to switched a a better room. Because these two reasons I can only gave four stars. Otherwise the hotel is great, good location to Zion either driving or taking shuttle outside of the hotel. The room is clean, spacious and have a microwave and refrigerator in the room. Breakfast has three different types of pre-packed sandwiches and you can choose to eat in or take out. Overall I am happy with the hotel, much better than I expected

I made a reservation a month in advance. Was called the day of the reservation, and the hotel left a message stating that my reservation had been cancelled because I did not have a credit card on file (which is not true, how would I have made the reservation). I called the hotel after pulling over while driving there, and was told that my reservation was cancelled as per hotel policy, whatever that means. I was told that I was being moved to their “sister” hotel, The Hampton Inn, as they had already given away my room. When moved to the Hampton, I was charged almost twice as much!!! Classic bait and switch most likely due to their overbooking. What is even more disappointing is that I am an IHG Rewards member, and have stayed here at least 3 other times, and used to regard it as my “go to” hotel for Zion. What a slap in the face from Holiday Inn Express Springdale and IHG. This is the last time making a reservation at any of their hotels.

Beautiful & Good Location
Our family of 3 stayed here for 2 nights. The front desk was very pleasant and answered all my questions. They even told me about the new shuttle change in Zion (tickets go on sale at 5pm the previous day and sell out in 30 mins FYI). The pool was unusable and covered but many people used the jacuzzi. Unfortunately, when we came back from dinner, we couldn't use the jacuzzi cause they close the pool area at 8PM.
We used the gym one day and its very minimal in there. WE couldn't find the TV remote, there is 1 treadmill, a bike and I think an eliptical machine. There is one rack of dumbbells, bands, 1 yoga mat, 1 yoga ball, a rack of medicine balls and a water machine. We got hot really fast because there is no air circulation in there, not even a fan. They need one in the gym!
The parking was actually okay. We were able to find parking at any time of the day without an issue. They have a designated doggy area for potty breaks if you have a dog out back in some nice grass.
The main lobby is beautiful and spacious. Many people charged their phones, sat and ate or just sat out back to the fire pits. There are 2 small ones on the back deck and 1 large fire pit down below next to the pool.
The room was a little on the small side (we had a 2 queen room) and the bathroom was surprisingly very small. I don't like the layout of it. You have to twist your entire body to grab the toilet paper. Also, there was no ventilation in the bathroom, so the entire bathroom fogged up after showers. Hot water and water pressure was very good and it got hot quickly.

Would stay again!
Checking was quick and professional and they had honored my request for a ground floor room. This HI express is conveniently located and within walking distance to almost everything in Springdale. The views to both the West and East are amazing and a very nice outside seating area. The breakfast was good although I miss the cinnamon rolls but understand during covid. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Zion.
