Check in efficient and friendly. We were early and room wasn’t quite ready but soon was. On ground floor, spacious room, nice bed, good bathroom. Had everything we expected except a safe. Breakfast good with lovely outside seating area. Good location for free shuttle for Zion park. Highly recommend. Pictures of breakfast view

The hotel looked so nice online. I especially liked the decks and fire pit in the pictures. The fire pit was broken. The views of course were spectacular but you can see the same thing from every spot in the area. There was nothing wrong at all, just nothing special for the price. All of the chain hotels and independents looked very nice. They are all on one main street through town where you will find lots of restaurants as well as shuttle stops.

I really love this hotel. The view in the back of the hotel makes this hotel an inviting place to stay. Comfortable back patio with rocking chairs and fire pits as well as rocking chairs on the second floor right outside at the end of the halls. The pool is nice and clean with comfortable lounge chairs. Great place to unwind after a long day of hikes or enjoy the warm hot tub to soak sore feet. Our hotel room had vaulted ceilings making the room feel larger than it was. I would come back here in a heartbeat.

Stunning scenery

This is by far the nicest Holiday Inn Express I have stayed in. The lobby area seemed quite posh, receptionist was very friendly and the views from around the hotel were beautiful. The rooms were a little dated but were very spacious and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was equipped with towels, shampoo, shower gel and a hairdryer. The pool was also a great addition as it was nice to have a dip after spending the day hiking around Zion. Pool towels are provided but they are small. There is a shuttle service to Zion national park, which is free of charge and just a stone's throw from the hotel. Although this hotel is one of the further stops from the park on the bus, it worked in our favour because it meant that the bus was empty when it arrived (and full by the next stop!). There is also a really lovely restaurant just across the road called Bit & Spur, which had live entertainment and a fire pit... Definitely recommend. Couple of tips for exploring Zion based on our experience: You pay for entry to the park but your ticket is then valid for 7 days which is useful if you're there for a few days. There are multiple hike routes to choose from but the park is very well organised and it's easy to get around to the various hikes points using the on-site bus service. If you're a bit of an adrenaline junkie then I would very much recommend the 'angel's landing' hike but note that you need to apply online for a pass by 3pm the day before because they limit the amount of people doing this hike due to the narrow paths! The main reason(s) I have given this review 4 stars and not 5 is because the hotel doesn't seem to have a dishwasher and all the plates and cutlery used at the buffet style breakfast were single use plastic and throwaway... I cannot imagine the amount of waste produced by this. It wasn't exactly a cheap stay either (in the grand scheme of Holiday Inn) but I can only assume this was because of the fantastic location and breath taking views. If the hotel was picked up and moved to another random location, it probably wouldn't have been worth the money but upon comparison to other hotels in the area, it was one of the most reasonable!

Great location, clean room, good breakfast, awesome setting. Friendly, efficient check-in. Nice-sized room, no complaints. Outside seating with wonderful view of canyon walls; enjoyed an adult beverage there in the evenings. Easy walk to Jake’s for burgers and beers, or the Bit and Spur across the street. At a town shuttle stop. Tip: Town shuttle doesn’t start till 8:00, and Zion shuttle starts at 7:00, so we drove to the shuttle parking lot 7:30 and there was plenty of parking and no wait for the park shuttle. Beat the crowd.
