My wife and I have stayed here previously and really enjoyed the place.
Traveling in the time of Covid requires patience and flexibility. That said, some properties are attempting to control cost and blaming it on Covid. This is the case with this place.
Example: while Jackson has no restrictions preventing restaurant services, the lodge offers “ grab and go” breakfast. Much cheaper for them.
Ice machines are deactivated, housekeeping happens a couple of days a week. Again, cost not Covid.
Antler chandelier above lobby has as many dead bulbs as working.
Stairs are lovely decorative wood but worn and slightly treacherous in their current state.
The staff seem disengaged.
In short, I will look elsewhere next time we plan to be in Jackson.

Absolutely awful hotel terrible room service that does nothing and rooms that are inferior to 100 dollar a night hotels but they rip you off for 400 a night here! Minus 5 stars if I was allowed to give a proper rating! Avoid this place and don’t waste your money!

Clean, Spacious, Quiet and Courteous staff!
We had to book at the last minute and needed a couple rooms. I was worried after reading some of the reviews that were less than flattering. I am happy to report to those that may be experiencing any doubts - NO NEED TO WORRY! Clean throughout and I witnessed several cleaning crews at work in the common areas during my stay. Spacious room with strong WIFI. Was able import large files through VPN. The staff was very nice. I observed them showing guests much patience and kindness when being asked a ton of questions about the area. I did not hear a single other person in the hall and felt it to be very quiet even though the hotel was very busy. The market rate for hotels is high in Jackson due to demand. Understanding that going in and managing expectations, I think would eliminate a lot of people feeling that this is simply not what was expected. The word "resort" is not like the feel of a "resort" for instance at Disney. But it is consistent with how it is used within this market. I found this to be a really pleasant place to stay and sure hope you do too! Close walk to several restaurants which is always a bonus. Parking ample and close to alternate entrances. We did not utilize the breakfast options.

Accommodation Good, Service Bad
Location good, rooms clean and roomy. Staff foreign, could not understand questions. Would not recommend using the Concierge, booked several months in advance and still did not know if we had activities booked before we left. We were given vouchers for activities at check-in that had prices that did not match what we were quoted. Spa massage was very good and restaurant staff very helpful. Discovered when we got home that email was sent with Activity Itinerary late the night before we left, too little too late. When called prior to our trip, Liz was never available to talk to.

Over-priced for current service and available facilities
Unfriendly, curt registration staff - not just to me, but to others as observed during my registration. One small bar of soap for sink and bath. No shampoo. Loud neighbors disturbed sleep due to poorly sealed doorway that connects to the adjoining room. This once was likely a nice "resort". It's looking dated, and under current pandemic conditions, it is definitely not worth resort prices.
