Just an OK Lodge experience
My wife and stayed here for an anniversary, I was underwhelmed at the experience. We selected the upgraded room with fire place and it was very nice but the hotel did not offer food, airport shuttle or have a bar - all as advertised when I selected the location. To be fair, we went during off season and if I had called and dug in more I might have discovered this. It is a great facility with amazing lodge like features, but it reminds me of a Best Western the way it operates.

Fowl Smelling Poop in Hallway Trash
We are currently staying here at the hotel and we have been quite unhappy by the response at the front desk from the staff on a situation we are experiencing daily. There is a couple with a baby on our hall that is throwing away their dirty diapers in the hallway trash and every time we come up to our room we have to smell dirty diapers with poop in them. It is not a smell that is contained at all to the trash can. It is so gross that we hold our noses when we com to the room and quickly get in the room. We have asked 4 times for the staff at the hotel to ask the couple to politely throw their poop diapers away outside or in their own room, but they refuse to talk to the couple saying that they are not allowed to and even the manager says that they can't talk to them. There are 17 other customers that may never stay here again due to the fowl smell that has been in the hallway since we arrived. If I was the owner of the hotel I would talk to the couple right away and also post a rule that the garbage cans in the hall can't be used for dirty diapers. I do not understand the reluctance of the staff to refuse to talk to the couple staying here about not ruining other people's experience in their hotel. That is poor management to make 17 other people suffer smelling fowl orders, and allow the couple to continue to throw away poop in their trash cans. It is bad business.. If it were my hotel, I would not want to loose 17 customers over one family that continues to make the hallways smell awful. I also have noticed that the dirt and trash by the elevators are never cleaned. The elevator we have taken up to our room has dirt in the door and has never been vacuumed since we have been here. The room has been nice, the breakfast has been okay, but the staff at the hotel could be better trained to deal with people that are ruining the experience for everyone here. We have also had problems with the keys not working on a daily basis and we have to get them reprogrammed almost daily.

Should have been great but not even close
My wife and I were on a Rocky Mountain States trip and we read about this place, and having seen quite a few good reviews, we booked it. We received a direct personalized email from the management before we arrived, in which we were promised many amenities that did not exist during our stay. We were told that it was off season, so the main restaurant would be closed, but we were assured that their (pictured) lovely lounge and bar would be open for drinks and some dishes. This was very important to us as we were coming in an unseasonably cold, icy and bitter week. When we arrived, the parking lot was so icy and uncleared that I had to drop my wife at the front door with all the luggage and park on slick ice, literally clutching onto my car in order not to fall over! When I entered I found the bar and lounge, which had a sign on a stand saying it was closed for the season! I asked the desk clerk about this and told him the email I received (and had at hand) clearly stated they would be open. He said, in a very nonchalant way in almost a whisper "oh yeah I've heard some things about that". Then we went to our room, which was very nice and had a fireplace which was advertised and pictured. It was a cold and windy night, and we looked forward to having a romantic drink or two in front of a roaring fire. However, the gas fireplace was broken! When we informed the management, they said it was our fault for not waiting for 10 or 15 minutes (!!) for it to "warm up"! What a load of BS! The next day they came and fixed it and it worked that night. Things that were billed as "included" in the resort fee (per the personalized email), which nearly doubled the rate, turned out to be way extra, such as spa services, which were generally at least $ 100 a pop. Absolutely no attempt was made to make things right, even after I sent a direct email to the hotel when we got back home. Zero response. This otherwise nice place offered little or nothing promised. We should have been told the truth and not a pack of lies. I suppose if you went "on season" you would not have had these problems, but they need to tell the truth!!
$ 500 for two nights for this experience is more than disappointing, it is inexcusable.

Great 5 day stay!
We enjoyed our recent 5 day stay at the Lodge at Jackson Hole. The hotel is located near town, but far enough away so street noise is not an issue. A free shuttle transports guests to the airport as well as locations around town. We didn't use it because we had a rental car, but noticed that plenty of other guests did. If we had not planned to drive to Yellowstone and the Tetons, we would not have needed a rental car.
Our room was very comfortable, but the mattress was sunken on each side of the bed and requires replacement. The hotel bathroom was very nice. My husband especially enjoyed using the overhead rain jet shower head. We also enjoyed the constant supply of water and Starbucks coffee located near the lobby. The complimentary breakfast was ideal. Eggs, bacon, and potatoes were served every morning, along with an assortment of bagels, pastries, fresh fruit, and yogurt. An Albertsons grocery store is located within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel offers free parking and a nice indoor/outdoor pool, whirlpool, and sauna. The lobby, which contains a massive fireplace, was the perfect spot for relaxing with a book and cup of coffee.

This place is so dated and in need of a makeover. The furniture is old. It looks horrible. If you are the kind of person that likes McDonalds, you'll probably like their breakfast. I don't eat McDonalds, so I found the food to be awful.
There are bear statues around this place. The most shocking thing is that they actually charge a lot of money they have a shocking number of good reviews from, I suspect, people who don't know what a good hotel looks like.
