We chose the motel due to its location within the park and lack of availability at the nearby lodge. The building and rooms are typical 1950s style with small bathrooms that need updating. Comfy beds. Free wireless, but terrible signal connection. Office opens at 8 am, so no early cup of coffee.

We enjoyed our stay. It was a standard room with a great location in the park. The bathroom was quite small but it was manageable. The rooms don't have tv's so that was a little different. Food options are very limited in Lake McDonald especially when the resort is full.

The only reason I gave it a four was because the bed was too soft other then that it was what I expected. The staff was very friendly and because we stayed after labor day it was quieter. The room was serviced every day .we would stay there again.

Our stay at this motel was very enjoyable. Pat at the front desk was a pleasure to deal with and very helpful. The accommodations were pretty typical for the national parks. It was nice being close to the lodge with the availability of restaurants and access to the lake.

The staff was very kind and accommodating. Even though the rooms are rustic, mine was very comfortable and exactly what I needed. I appreciated the ability to open the windows and the fan for air circulation. There are no telephones or televisions in the room but there is WiFi throughout the motel and I was able to stay in touch with family back home and keep myself in music and podcasts that way. One thing that I thought might be tough for some guests is that the bathroom door opened awkwardly into the bathroom making it a tight squeeze. I'm sure not all rooms have this issue but mine did. It's important to not that properties in the park have a lot of restrictions on what they can do as far as renovations or updates goes (basically they can't do much) but I thought it was important to mention the tight squeeze issue for wider guests like me.
