We stayed in the spa suite when visited in October, amazing room, amazing view, and friendly staff! We've stayed at a few differentt cabins in the area throughout the years, however Aspen Winds on Fall River will definitely be the place where we will stay when visiting Estes in the future. OH, and it will always be special because we got engaged there! Perhaps it will be our wedding destination!

I wish I could have given the property a five rating, but I had to deduct a point for one issue. First, the owners are very friendly, efficient and helpful. You couldn't ask for more. The property is very coveniently located both to the town and the main entrance to Rocky Mountain national Park. Cleaning staff did an excellent job. Our suite, the "loft suite" is highly recommended if you are on an extended trip and need to do laundry. It's the only suite they have that has a full size laundry room with washer & Dryer. The loft suite isn't in the main building and for reason known to the owners, there is no wiring in place for a "landline" phone. In today's age of wireless cell phones that isn't a big issue. What was a big issue is that the tub in the bathroom had at some point been a jetted whirlpool tub with high sides. It had no off-on switch that I could find anywhere to turn the jets on, but again that wasn't a big deal. The problem is there were no safety grab bars to hold on to getting in and out of the tub/shower. Under normal circumstances that can be a hazard, but because the wall of the combination whirlpool tub/shower was even higher than a normal tub, it was downright dangerous getting in and out. For this reason I cannot give a 5 star rating. Otherwise a very enjoyable stay. The carpet was worn in spots, but that could be forgiven for the overall excellence of the property. No safety bars by the tub/shower could not be forgiven. It is possible that all of the other suites in the main building do not have this problem, if so a five star excellent rating would be deserved. Management has to correct this issue before a guest falls down and gets hurt.

If I could give 10 stars, I would! The owners Phil and Dotty have provided travelers to Estes Park a beautiful place to stay with all the important amenities and small touches you want for your stay. We can't wait to come back. Great views, spotless room, ample room to enjoy multiple days, a giant Elk waiting to greet us not far from our back door (we were in #14,)....just a perfect place for our quick 5 day trip. We will not stay anywhere else from now on...we plan on coming back to RMNP in the Spring and Aspen Winds will be our home away from home. Thank you Phil and Dotty!!

Highly recommend!

We stayed here as part of a wedding group, and would definitely recommend this as a place for small groups/families to stay. This place is within 1.5 miles from the Rocky Mountain Park entrance, and about 2 miles from downtown Estes Park. We were welcomed by the owners, we greeted us with a handshake. They gave us maps, newspapers and introduced us a bit to the area. My fiancé and I had the one bedroom room, which was connected to the main building. It was quiet the entire time. It was very clean (and I’m very picky!), nicely decorated, and had the best towels for a hotel. The only complaint we had were the pillows. The pillows were not very comfortable, but we doubled up with some we found on the closet and they were ok. The best thing about this place is how sweet the owners are. We forgot our toothpaste, and we checked with the owners to see if they had any. The offered us a new tube they just bought for themselves- that’s true customer service! We will definitely be back.

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!
