The building is nice and pretty and so are the grounds/landscaping. The rooms are nice and spacious and furnished well. The beds are not quite as comfortable as they could be and the pillows are very uncomfortable. Room was clean, except for the coffee maker was dirty. The staff I interacted with was friendly. But this hotel is way overpriced. And on top of that, the worst thing in my opinion is that they charge $16 for their breakfast (!) which consists of the cheap and not so tasty breakfast food that most hotels around the country give away for free.

Never again

I had booked our stay in May of 2024 for a trip in August 2024 for three rooms for three nights. I did not receive an email for the reservations therefore I had to call and confirm. I had requested that our rooms be close and two be adjoining, I even called in July and a week before our arrival to see if we could get adjoining rooms, I was reassured both phone calls that it would definitely be possible for this request. Mind you the phone call a week before our trip cost about $30.00 as I kept being put on hold, being hung up on and left numerous voicemails to confirm our arrival. Their phone manner was so very unprofessional and poor. Upon our arrival, they could not find our reservation, spelt our last name wrong after confirming the drivers license. The manager had helped them with the process and had mentioned that he’d give us a discount for the remaining two rooms, but we did not get the discount; the manager even denied saying that which we both had clearly heard him say that. We had been staying at this place for over 10 years when we travel to Kalispell, we have never been so turned off by this establishment until now. As staff in the past were professional and welcoming, these yahoos are not which is so sad.

First off this property is beautiful!! Lovely lobby area and outside seating area was really nice!! There is a lot in the area to do and see and many restaurants in walking distance! Our room was big and clean and relatively quiet that is once we were actually able to check in!! Stopped at around 12:30 to see if there was any way for a little bit of an early check in- front desk guy told us they were having a big turnover of rooms but said he checked and someone cleaning our room right at that time so it would ready 2:30 or 3 at the latest-3 is regular check in so we just went for lunch to kill time- arrived back at 3 only to be told by a different clerk that “I’m not sure what they doing back there?” No idea who “they” were but I told her we were there 2 and a half hours earlier and were told our room was being cleaned then and there is no way it takes that long to clean a room!! She went in back and came out and gave us a different room!! When we went to our room they were only then cleaning the room we were supposed to have originally stayed in which was 425 !! So the first guy blatantly lied to us!! Also the restaurant that is adjacent to the hotel does not honor our Hilton Diamond food and beverage credit which is crazy! For almost 400 a night maybe try another property

Poor check-in experience and room was not as promised.

We stay at HGI whenever possible. This was our first stay in the Kallispell, MT, HGI. As we always do when we make our reservation we requested two things: 1. A pet-free room (severe dog allergy) 2. A shower, not a tub, if possible. When we checked in and asked the clerk if the room was pet free she looked at us like we were nuts. We said we had requested one and she said that there are "no pet free rooms at Hilton Garden Inn but that the cleaning staff would have cleaned the room 'extra' because we had requested pet free". The room was not 'extra' clean as not only did it smell like dog but it was not possible for our allergic family member to sit on the chair without getting hives and she was struggled with breathing any time we were in the room. Additionally, the clerk said our room did have a shower; it had a tub. The pet issue is not a minor thing. And the clerk needed to be honest with us (she wasn't) and not treat our pet-free request with so little respect.

Quiet. Friendly staff. Clean, Nice room. Breakfast was ok. Typical hotel fare. Nothing fancy but edible. Great bargain when booked by calling. Close to downtown Kalispell. Lots of options for eating within walking distance. Have stayed here more than once and very consistent
