This is a great place to stay, it was clean and comfortable. Our room had a small kitchenette which was great. The view of the Elk Refuge is awesome and I know in the winter when they elk are there it is something to see. The only downside is the traffic up and down the road when you are trying to sit outside.. but it's still better than being downtown. I would stay here again and I would recommend it to others. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Elk Refuge Inn staff friendly, efficient. Rooms OK depending on location. Some traffic noise. Super view and location.

We had two rooms for three people - a couple and adult daughter. Our second room was big and separated king bedroom from living area, thus worked better for three. First room, booked later, didn’t work well as it was small, BUT, had incredible view from balcony. I painted out there for a few hours after our arrival and following morning which was quite enjoyable. Friendly staff responded well to our needs, first room had no shampoo. Location good as it’s close to town, airport and a good jump off to Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. Rooms were clean and comfortable, but a bit dark. Some road noise from the highway. Value OK, considering post Labor Day competition from annual fly fishing tournament pushed up prices and sapped inventory everywhere in town.

Close to town, airport, elk refuge- Great Value

We had just come from the $400/night Jackson Lake Lodge (FILTHY- no services in room) to the Inn. For less than $300/night, the room had more amenities, was super clean, helpful check-in staff. The only complaint- the tub was soft with black mold spots- but we stayed only one night so no matter. The tub was clean but damaged in one area. The sheets were super soft, room clean, great little snacks, fridge, microwave, air, TV, wi-fi, sitting area- SUPER close to airport and town. Highly recommend but also think they should fix the tub ASAP.

The room was certainly adequate and the view was out of this World. I think a car is necessary staying here because you are a couple miles outside of Jackson Hole. We really enjoyed our stay there and will go back if we return to the area.

The Elk Refuge Inn was a great place to stay! We highly recommend it. Our Trip Goals: Daily hiking in GTNP, followed by a casual dinner in Jackson, and a nice, low-key place to stay. Pros - Great location. 2 minutes to Jackson, 10 minutes to GTNP - Exceptionally clean, spacious rooms, super comfy beds - Outstanding staff (front desk, cleaning) - Just beyond the crowds in Jackson, but still easy to get to Jackson - Incredible views from every room (we were on the 2nd floor) - Easy parking (right outside your room) - Reasonable pricing - Great place for families and/or couples Cons - The shower was a bit dated, but still very clean and effective Hikes we did: Taggart and Bradley (to acclimate), Cascade Canyon, Death Canyon to/around Phelps Lake, and Delta Lake. Wildlife: Moose, bear, silver fox, deer, elk, bison In summary, we will stay here again when visiting Jackson and The Tetons!
