We came in the off season and the lady “Rose” at the front desk is absolutely awesome. She wrote out maps and was the biggest help making our trip amazing. Thank you Rose and thank you holiday inn for employing great people. We will be back and share our experience.

Just stayed 3 nights in an Executive King Room. It was a nice sized room but I was VERY disappointed in the shower in our bathroom. It reminded me of CAMPGROUND showers from years ago (no glass doors or shower wand, just a shower curtain??) Asked to be moved to a tub/shower combo but they could/would NOT move us. I wish I had known before arrival, and I would have called and made a combo request. There wasn’t a place to put in a request on the website booking. There was a Keurig coffeemaker in the room which was a + for us. Not a fan of the eggs/cheese omelets on the free buffet but the “Make Your Own Pancakes Machine” was GREAT! They came out PERFECT! The Casino next door is VERY SMALL and “TIGHT”! Slots only. The meal we ate in the restaurant was just, OK. Not too pricey. Would recommend “The Trees of Mystery” just a few miles north on Hwy 101. Worth the reasonable price in my opinion. Other Redwoods just south in a NP off 101. Larger city, Cresent City, is maybe 20 miles north. Walmart there.

AVOID HIGHWAY SIDE OF HOTEL

MY STRONG ADVICE IS TO ASK FOR A ROOM ON THE FRONT OF THE HOTEL. The back of this hotel faces Highway 101 which is only about 25 yards away, so you will hear every noisy vehicle which passes by all night. This hotel is operated by the local Indian tribe and is adjacent to the casino. The check in is not well marked when you drive up, but is located under the canopy shared by the casino. I found our hotel room to be dark and the carpet could have used a good shampoo. The room was poorly lighted with CFL lamps. On the plus side, the hotel is conveniently located to the entrances of the southern part of Redwoods National and State Parks. The continental breakfast was decent (try the warm cinnamon rolls) and a large area is available to eat it. A restaurant is located in the adjacent hotel.

This is the only large hotel in the Redwoods. It is on a reservation so they have a casino across the breezeway along with the little restaurant. The front desk was friendly and so was housekeeping. The power went out when I was in the shower so pretty dark. Location next to the highway gets very loud if you have a room on that side.

Convenient for Redwood Natl Park Visit

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Redwoods National Park. It was really the only commercial place to stay in the area and we weren't disappointed. It's attached to a casino with a restaurant. The restaurant is pretty much the only place to eat besides one other bar so we visited both nights and the food was fine. No complaints. Hotel was clean, staff was nice. It's about 15-20 mins to the national park entrance. We would recommend if you are looking to go to the Redwoods, but don't want to camp or have an RV.
