The room was very clean and comfortable and front desk staff friendly and helpful. It was disappointing however, that the pool was closed and the restaurant in the adjoining casino offered no restaurant service, only takeout and there was no bartender on duty and thus no alcoholic drinks served. Perhaps it was just too early in the season for a fully operational facility. 🙄

As usual, all the expected amenities of a Holiday Inn were there. Ample room, comfy beds and pillows. Hot breakfast. The location is ideal if visiting redwoods or for a stop if you are driving. Fully recommend. There is a casino next door which I did not visit

Nice people work here!

There was a bomb cyclone on the coast as we were moving up it. It was dark when we got to the hotel/casino. Very small casino. Turns out the power was out and had been for a few days. They had power from generators so we weren't in the dark. We ate at the restaurant there and the food and service were amazing! Jamie was our server and she was awesome! Kaylee the bartender made wonderful drinks and was very nice. Ruby who worked at front desk and checked us in was so very nice. She was very informative. Really enjoyed talking to her. It's the slow season so we got a lot of attention. The room was pretty clean except the shower walls were not clean. The soap provided in shower on wall had been pushed out and sprayed on wall it appeared. There appeared to be a spot if what looked like blood on our bedspread. Other then that all was great!

Nice one night stay near Redwoods!

I wasn't sure what to expect as some of the reviews made me wonder. However, we enjoyed our one night stay at this Holiday Inn Express. On arrival, the woman at the front desk seemed less than friendly- not sure why- she seemed almost resentful for lack of a better word. Our room though was comfortable, clean and quiet. No extras like a pool or hot tub but that was ok. We had read that there were few if any choices for dinner and so we stopped at a grocery store in Crescent City and bought a couple of salads and rolls to eat in the room. Good thing we did as the only place open was the bar across the street. I peeked into the casino that was nearly attached and it looked very small but nicer than I expected. I didn't go in as we were very tired and were planning to be in Vegas for the last couple of days of our 3 week road trip. This was a good place to stop before seeing the Redwoods the next day.

Rustic but a nice hotel

We had a very good stay here. The accommodations were rustic but good, the bed was comfortable and the staff at the office was great. I love the fact that we had a walking shower with a seat. The only critique I have there is that when we showered , the water would run onto the main bathroom floor. Some sort of lip would probably help that situation. Loved the cinnamon rolls. The weight staff in the breakfast area was good, but the cook was a little curt and seemed unfriendly when I asked her questions. She probably needs to work on her people skills. Overall, we had a great day love the area and the convenience of having a restaurant right next-door.
