A fantastic place to stay.
We have been coming to Buckeye Tree Lodge for the past 12 years. We love the lodge so much, we normally come about 5 to 6 times a year.
This is our first visit back since June 20, 2020. Sadly, thanks to Covid we stayed away.
This visit was our best visit. Why? There is nothing like being home if you know what I mean. It is peaceful, beautiful, the owners and staff are very friendly.
I like to think I know what I am talking about_I have been to forty states

Great place to stay for Sequoia National Park visit
This lodge is the closest hotel to the park, the entrance is literally down the street. This is good because the park gets crowded the later it gets in the day, so you will have a head start on the crowds. The rooms are spacious, with a little kitchenette area. The decor is not really special, typical for a motel, however, what makes this place special is its location right next to a roaring river. The sound of the waves rushing by the lodge is really magical and soothing. Recommend staying here.

Stay at the Buckeye! 👀
We’ve been staying here for the past 25 years after a few nights tent camping in Kings Canyon or Sequoia Nat’l Park. 🌲🏕
Spending a night or two at the Buckeye is a great way to end an almost perfect vacation.
This year we stayed in the RIVER HOUSE. It is huge three level house with high ceilings and a private patio for every room. The house overlooks the river and mountains. In the evening the 🦇bats fly out of their caves and flutter around. At night there is a spectacular display of stars. 💫🌟✨ The house and the surrounding areas is large enough to find a quiet place to be alone, listen to the river and be at peace with nature.
The kitchen is huge and there is a BBQ on the patio. The coffee set up in the house is perfect! Fresh roasted beans, a grinder and plenty of cute Ikea mugs with teas, creamer & sugar provided. ☕️ We like to dine out the first night and then pick up steaks at the Village Market the second night. The house is a perfect place to cook and share a meal with a large family or gathering of friends.
Great washer & dryer in the lower bedroom.
The staff is very friendly and hospitable. The AC works beautifully with separate controls for each room. Great working & quiet fans too. The swimming pool is refreshing.
Those are all the pros.
Here are the cons.
The house is a bit pricey for the outdated stove top, dishwasher and limited kitchen supplies. Bring your own cooking oils & spices. No foil, plastic wrap or food storage items either.
No extra bedding provided for the fold out couch but I am sure if we asked for it they would provide it.
I would recommend you reserve early and stay here. You will not be disappointed. 😊

This place is pure MAGIC
This is my third time staying at Buckeye Tree Lodge and I cannot sing their praises enough! The property is situated exactly where two rivers converge so the sound of moving water will lull you to sleep each night. I can tell the new owners really care about the property and making the hotel more sustainable. It seems like they are going through a bit of an update. There were already so many changes since the last time I was here: new cork floors and a beautiful yoga studio where you can take classes or use the space to relax and meditate on your own. Buckeye is more than enough reason to go to Three Rivers, but when you add that it’s less than two minutes from Sequoia Natl Park- your trip here will be unforgettable.

Big fan of the Buckeye!
I just got back from my second stay at the Buckeye. I love this place! My friends and I stayed in Falcon. Everything was super clean and I love all of the big wooden furniture that gives the place a cozy cabin vibe. The owners are super friendly and you can tell that they put a lot of love into the place and truly care about making their guests feel happy — so rare and special these days! It's super close to the park and is right on the river. I highly recommend going this time of year with all of the wildflowers blooming. It was magical!
