The cabins might be nicer, but the individual rooms are really tiny
The lodge has the distinction of being the closest to the park entrance, really just around the corner. That puts it about 15 minutes from the town of Three Rivers, so you won't want to be going back and forth every day. There's only another lodge and the pricey Gateway Restaurant in the immediate vicinity.
The room was almost entirely filled by the king-sized bed, without enough space to keep two suitcases open on the floor. There was a small table and chairs in a little nook, with a lovely view out to the river. The bathroom had a shower stall with wall-mounted shampoo and body wash, and a shelf for your toiletries to make up for a lack of counter space.
There was a small refrigerator, always handy, and a small microwave. Coffee beans and a grinder are available for your morning brew, with real creamers instead of the powdered stuff. There's a small shared barbecue out the back; tongs are available, but bring fuel. Without many other choices we wanted to eat it, but washing dishes was very difficult in the bathroom sink. The room really isn't set up for that.

Great place for a Sequoia/Kings Canyon stay!
We stayed in Glacier since we needed the extra rooms and beds for our kids. It's a 2-story place with plenty of room. Rooms were clean and downstairs areas were spacious enough for us. You're really not there to stay in the place but it's nice that when you are, it's comfortable. There's a bench and table outside if you want to eat outside. NOTE: This particular cabin does NOT have a gas grill. I think Falcon is the one next to Glacier that does.
This lodge is basically the closest you can get to the park without being inside. It's less than 1/2 mile from the entrance. The river next to the hotel was a highlight for our pre-teen & teen kids. If we ever come back to the area, we will likely be staying here again!
Sidenote: The Gateway restaurant that's next to the lodge is overpriced. $40/entree. I would suggest going back south into town to get cheaper food.

Great customer service!
Cabin was lovely and totally immaculate. Special thanks to Meaghan, Christian and all the other staff who went above and beyond taking time on the phone making accommodations for my family to feel comfortable traveling during the Covid pandemic.

Relaxing Family Getaway
Stayed 5 incredible nights at the Falcon cabin at the end of June. The cabin huge and fully loaded, but some of my favorite features were the gas grill (of which we made plenty of use in the patio while listening to the river) and the coffee brewer with fresh coffee beans and grinder before our hikes. Next time I will remember to bring a thermos to bring some of it with me while hiking.
After long days hiking around Sequoia, my wife, 1-year old son and I finally got a lot of long, peaceful sleep. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the quiet serenity of the area made it that much better.
The location is unbeatable. Being so close to Sequoia National Park made it very convenient, considering our baby was on a timer.
I wish I took pictures of the cabin, but here are some of the park. Also, we saw a mamma bear with her two cubs in the park!!
Can’t recommend this place highly enough. It was everything we needed.

We loved our stay at the Buckeye Tree lodge! We came here to celebrate our birthdays and it was the perfect getaway in nature after having been in lockdown for 4 months. It’s conveniently located right by the sequoia national park entrance, but we were so excited about the river behind the property. We brought our puppy and had a blast watching him swim for the first time!
The room was clean and we felt really safe because the staff (owners?) were super attentive and helpful while behind a mask and practicing safe physical distance! They were so sweet to leave us a couple of drinks and muffins (but we were trying to cut sugar lol, but it was tempting), and really so nice even when we accidentally locked ourselves out.
We had to check out a bit early because my girlfriend randomly got a job that needed stronger internet connection, but we will be back for a redo!
