I was concerned about coming before the season started. One of the front desk staff provided a very honest answer of what I would not be able to do and what I could. I selected this hotel based on that phone call and reviews. I was incredibly impressed with the service level, accommodation's and overall experience.

The Grand Hotel Bar Hotel seems to really care about their guests. their excellent reputation is well earned. There are many simple, but special touches that make this place classy and a cut above. The value for money was good and the location and amenities were very nice. Thank you Grand Hotel!

We stopped without reservations in late April and were warmly welcomed by staff. What a lovely place to stay! The room was very clean, very well-lit, spacious, with comfy mattresses and pillows. Shops and the waterfront were all within easy walking distance. Because we were in off-season, room rates were reasonable; hot breakfast was included in the price. So glad we stopped!

Location is great. Easy walk to several restaurants and shops. (even in April there were 5/6 places to eat within a 5 minute walk.) Nice loop walk down Main Street and the Shore Path right from the front door of the hotel. Clean, comfortable rooms and a fair price.

Our room was the most quiet room I've ever experienced with a huge variety of food at the included breakfast buffet and a great location for Acadia access and a quick walk to all shops and restaurants in Bar Harbor. This was my third trip, and this will continue to be my go-to place in Bar Harbor.
