We had a great 2-night stay at the Berkshire Inn. The room and bed were very comfortable and our hosts, Chris, Brittany, Carson, and their puppy, were everything (and more) that you hope for when you stay at a Bed & Breakfast. The breakfast was excellent and the location was very convenient to Yosemite – about a 25 minute drive to the park entrance and another 35 minutes to the center of all the action at Yosemite. If you are looking for a quaint place to stay that is warm, welcoming, and better than any experience you will get at a national chain hotel, this inn is highly recommended.

The room was beautiful & spacious, exactly as pictured, breakfast was amazing with healthy choices and the owners could not be more attentive or accommodating. There’s plenty of common space and many porches with welcoming seating. And they have a puppy!! Thank you!

We stayed for several nights while we visited the Yosemite valley. The rooms were quite comfortable and separate access. We spend many evenings on the covered porch sipping wine and enjoying the sun setting over the local foothills. The inn keepers were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfasts were quite hardy to get us through our hiking adventures. It was about an hour's drive to the floor of the valley, much less to the gate of the park.

Coming from San Francisco, the hotel is past the town of Groveland. The location wasn't walkable to town, and what? no TV? LOL On our first night out of the city we missed the TY, but by the second night, we relaxed and started to enjoy the quiet. You could drive to a few restaurants and a grocery store in town, There was a refrigerator on the porch for everyone's use. Breakfast was coffee, tea, some fruit, banana bread, and pastries. The owners seem to be the only employees, and they were friendly enough. The bed was a little too soft for me, but everything was clean and otherwise comfortable. The setting was beautiful, with incredible dusk and moonlight views of the forest.

We unfortunately didn't get to the hotel. I was traveling with my daughter who has stage 4 cancer. It was her bucket list trip. On the way to the hotel our car over heated. With the heat the altitude and the car, she was pretty sick. After we got some help with the car, we drove to the closest place. I emailed the hotel to let them know and they didn't answer. I had booked through a third party so I tried contacting them and also the hotel through that process. I tried to let them know! They never responded so I called them the next day. The man that I spoke with was just so uncaring, and plainly just short with me and rude. Unprofessional. I explained I could get him a letter from her doctors. His answer was pretty much "yeah .... so. That's the way it is." He did get my email ahead of the reservation in enough to rebook so we know he did and made even more. He could have shown some empathy. He could've charged a fee and not the entire booking amount. He could have said something nicer. He was just plain cold, rude and unprofessional. We were really looking forward to our stay. The hotel looked wonderful. Knowing the owners real personality, I wouldn't recommend.
