We stayed here in the Winter but it was still beautiful & we really enjoyed our stay. The pool room with hot tub was such a nice warm escape from the freezing weather outside. The staff did an amazing job of clearing all the walkways & parking lot considering there was a blizzard happening the weekend we were there. They were even helpful when I realized we forgot a corkscrew for our wine...they opened the bottle for us at the bar & even let us use their wine glasses for our room. My only complaint was the lack of options on the breakfast buffet for people who don't eat meat or dairy...maybe add some potatoes and almond or soy milk choices?? Other than that I recommend the Lodge & we will definitely go back this Summer when the town is 'open' for the season.

I recently stayed here for business travel. We were recommended to stay here instead of the area hotels, and we were very glad for this recommendation! The place is beautiful, both inside and out. My only disappointment was it was a frozen tundra when we stayed, I hope to go back again in the summer to capture its true beauty. Inside the rooms were very large, clean, and welcoming. I had a king bed room with a balcony that viewed the lake. Everything in the room was as you would expect. The bathrooms were large, clean, and the shower had great pressure. Heater worked great and was quiet. TV was a bit small considering the size of the room, but it worked fine and had a good station list to chose from. We ate dinner and had drinks at the bar/restaurant area. Great selection of beers on tap and in bottles. Looked like a pretty large liquor selections if you wanted a mixed drink. Food was just OK, but it was nice you never had to leave the property. Breakfast the next morning was excellent and recommended!

We went overnight for my husband’s birthday. I booked in the phone and the girl was very rushed. To the point she could not wait to get me off the phone. Ok. Whatever. It was fine maybe she was busy. No big deal. We arrived and it was a nice place. It has been remodeled and we had tickets for the wine shuttle. We arrived at noon and picked up the tickets. 1. The front desk staff was very nice and said they had a room ready early (we didn’t ask they offered) and that was very kind. 2. We had a nice view of the lake 3. This was absolutely horrible but for over an hour from 2a-3a people slammed doors in the middle of the night. There was a swim team there for an event in the area. A man came into the hall and started cursing at the top of his lungs 3 times. It did not end. I called the front desk. The door slamming continued for another half hour. We did not sleep. I’m not sure how they did not hear this at the desk? The screaming from the man was so loud and the floors are open to the bottom? In the morning at 5 am the door slamming happened again. So we maybe slept 2 hours? It was the absolute worst sleep I have had in a hotel. 4. They have a hotel bar and restaurant which was nice. 5. The wine shuttle is a nice service it is 35-45$ depending on the day of the week. I would suggest it. 6. I am not sure we would stay here again. It was over $360 with the wine shuttle and I was so exhausted, but could not sleep. I am pretty sure it was unattended children making the noise, but the hotel needed to take care of the issue and send security to make sure the screaming from the man and kids were not left unattended and this was not a safety issue so paying guests were not laying there awake all night.

Not a real fireplace

Paid for a fireplace room and it had a "fireplace" of sorts. Really a fake fire and glowing embers. A bit of heat from the electric heater in the top of the unit. Fake flames and embers were still cold to the touch after an hour of running. Reminds me of the "Yule Log" video.

Stayed here to take the Wine shuttle, four Wineries and no driving.Rooms are average - but you are not here for the room just the location. Went to several covered bridges the longest and the shortest included. Lunch was great at the Old Mill Winery, fantastic restaurant Dinner was at Chops Grille & Tap House, again really nice.
