You absolutely MUST stay at the Hearthside Inn. They think of everything. There is delicious breakfast every morning served to you (not continental style) and tea time every afternoon with sweet treats. Everything is very clean and well-tended to. The Inn is within walking distance to all of downtown and a quick drive to the National Park.

This was our first B&B experience. It was quite lovely. The hosts were really nice and accommodating; house was clean, comfortable and cozy (and warm, since weather was still a little cool). Breakfast was tasty and offered unique options. Other couples we met were also very friendly. Location is good, within walking distance of all downtown activities. If we have the opportunity to return, we would stay again. Highly recommend this location.

I came here with a dear friend of mine and we had a lovely time! The staff are all so kind and helpful, they made us feel so welcomed and comfortable. Our rooms were cute and very clean. They have board games and cards available which I find so fun. We played for hours, it felt like a slumber party! I would come back here in a heartbeat!

One of the best places I have ever stayed at. The room was small but extremely cozy, beautifully decorated (as was the rest of the place). Very clean as well. The breakfasts were all delicious, the tea time in the afternoon was adorable with delicious treats. Everyone who worked there was AMAZING and super helpful with any questions we had. Perfect location in the middle of Bar Harbor, walkable to all the shops and restaurants. 100% would recommend and stay again!

I came here with my partner and there aren't enough positive adjectives to describe this place and how much we adored it. We are not the kind of people who typically feel compelled to go online and talk about the hotels we stay at or the restaurants we eat at, but Hearthside was on a whole other level of hospitality, elegance, care, and charm. Juliana and her staff were all absolute gems from head to toe. We walked in and were immediately welcomed by Olivia and Juliana, who were both SO incredibly warm and amiable. The entire first floor is beautifully decorated with art from galleries in the area and a perfect hodgepodge modernity and vintage touches throughout. Our room was also incredibly cozy and comfortable. We were on the 3rd floor and neither Olivia nor Juliana would let us upstairs without carrying most of our luggage for us. Catherine was immensely helpful in the mornings as well, pointing us in the direction of her favorite hikes (she's a local so she knows the best spots). Nobody ever led us astray in any of their recommendations. And of course, Martha's breakfasts were to die for! I'm going to dream about her lemon ricotta pancakes. We are already talking about coming back here, largely due to how fantastic of a time we had at Hearthside. The staff are stellar, the decor is perfect, the food is incredible. Do yourself a favor and stay here!
