Outdoor entrance was a little brisk as well as walking to hot tub, but part of the wonderful SW mountain experience. Affordable. Dinner in the Steak House delicious and excellent service.

Great staff in an older, but well-kept property.

It's conveniently located -- about 15 minutes from the Capitol Reef Visitors Center and next to a gas station. Even better is the Steakhouse attached to the main building (see separate review).

Great Stay!

Check in was friendly and we were given a ground floor room which saved hauling cases up stairs! The location just on the edge of Torrey is good for visits to Capital Reef NP.
Having read a few reviews our expectations weren’t high but we found all the staff we had dealings with to be very friendly, the room clean and comfortable and the restaurant exceptional. The steakhouse provided us with what was the best meal of our whole trip; the quality of the food was good and being able to split dinner between two - but only the protein part as for a mere $8 they provided another plate of veg and split the 14 ounce steak into two seven ouncers! We had a good night's sleep was had after a long day's drive. Would certainly stay here again but maybe earlier in the year to try one of the wagons!

Hotel Great Food not so much!

Our only issue was the meal we had at the restaurant. The soup was very salty, and my prime rib was almost raw. Sent it bad to cook more and it still was way to rare to eat. My wife ordered the peach cobbler and it was cooked enough it was very doughy. Our waitest maade the comment that cooking the Prime was hard and she then was going to show the manager the cobbler. Made no effort to reduce the bill for the bad food. Ended up leaving almost all of the Prime Rib. Will stay at the hotel again, but will not eat at the restaurant.

There’s nothing super fancy here, but the rooms were clean and had everything we needed, everyone was friendly, the complimentary breakfast was appreciated, and we liked having a sit-down meal option right on site after a long day driving and in Capitol Reef.
