Sadly we were not staying at this luxury Lodge - however that did not stop us enjoying a fabulous dining experience on Easter Sunday. Just 4 of us dining so we quickly got to know our fellow guests who were on honeymoon and this was a treat for them. Well it was a treat for us too! Carol and Trevor looked after us very well and from the moment we arrived, after Carol collected us from the parking spot - everything was just lovely. Only regret was that I would love to have seen the lodge in the daytime too. Soft sounds on the amazing stereo greeted us, followed by drinks and canapes before we launched into the meal.Great wines and just a real treasure of a place. Thank you Trevor and Carol for your hospitality, we loved the whole experience

We stayed for a night at Earthsong Lodge primarily to see the night sky. It was a very cloudy day and hence we could not see much. However, we enjoyed our stay at the lodge thoroughly. Trevor and Carol took real good care of us. Trevor cooked a fabulous dinner for us accompanied by NZ Pinot Noir. Rooms are well laid out and kept very well. The island of Great Barrier is pristine and unspoiled and worth visiting if you are looking for silence amidst luxury.

The views from the rooms were amazing, beautiful gardens and extremely comfortable accommodation. Don’t let the 4WD access put you off, Trevor will take care of that. The food was exceptional! Thanks Trevor and Carol for making us so welcome!

A jewel in the hills above Tryphena on the southern part of the island. Trevor cooks like a triple star chef and is the convivial advisor, while Carol is responsible for the warm and familylike service. It feels like home with a fantastic view. The island has a lot to offer and from the flight to the bath in the onsen, was so much work a visit. Only gap to perfect: The rooms are spacious and comfortable, however would benefit from a fresh up, more modernity or cosiness.
