This was my 5 time staying at the Hotel and Center. The food is consistently excellent. I was at a four day event and found all the staff helpful and cheerful. There is a cookie tradition at this event as well. Cookies for the gods... Excellent cookies every day at 2 or 3 pm. The room was clean and when we left a passing staff member helped us get a large piece of luggage down a ramp.... If there was a 6 star rating you would get it!!!

Excellent place to stay, literally at oceanside and in close proximity to the town of Bar Harbor itself. Well kept rooms and courteous staff, pool, lovely grounds and well prepared breakfast served hot. Rooms have a variety of amenities to meet your needs. Comfortable bed and well designed bathroom.

Cancelled second night

Planned to stay two nights in our week long driving tour of New England during the peak fall foliage. The only positives were it's close proximity to Acadia National Park and the water views. Everything else was so disgusting that I cancelled our planned second night and went ANYWHERE else I could get a reservation. The complex is large and spread out. There was no assistance with luggage. We were given a map to our building and laughed when we got out of the car and saw the flight of stairs we had to drag our luggage down by ourselves to get to our room. There wasn't even a ramp.... it was literally stairs. We were given a room on the ground floor right near the water, which are the older units. I can't imagine how much the newer units were to stay as we paid $180/night for a dump. It had been remodeled with fake wood floors and a new coat of paint. No rugs in the room by the door and rainy weather so were tracking in water all over the room. The bathroom was ancient with a camper-sized sink which continually leaked water - could not turn it all the way off! My daughter pulled back her sheets to get into bed after a long day to find the sheets dirty. We also encountered several spiders in the room. Housekeeping came pretty quickly to change the bedding but were not willing to do anything about the spiders. We were woken up early in the morning by the housekeeping staff talking loudly and making noise with their carts outside of the room. I was greeted by one of the housekeepers by, "enjoying the weather?" as I was standing outside in the rain waiting for my daughter. Zero customer service points. We attempted to use the hot tub but it was out of order. One 6-person hot tub for this entire complex? Ridiculous. Both the hot tub and the pool were in the main building and were in the basement with an unusually low ceiling.... it was not inviting AT ALL. Gross, actually. The breakfast was also in the main building and had quite of bit of things to choose from but not many hot items, no breakfast meats. I would equate our accommodations with a motel 6. Definitely not worth the price and could not stomach staying another night, even though New England was mostly booked due to the foliage season. It was a gamble I was willing to take. Definitely do not recommend.

Stayed at the end of October. Rates were very reasonable. All rooms have a view of the water. Nice breakfast was included. Rooms were spacious and clean. Front desk was knowledgeable and helpful in choosing activities.

We stayed in an Atlantic View King with balcony which is the top floor (4th). Room was nice and big, comfy bed and the view from the balcony was amazing at sunrise and we even saw the full moon rise one night. The breakfast was great. Blueberry french toast was yummy. Nice assortment of breakfast food. Hotel was not far at all from downtown Bar Harbor and super close to Acadia NP entrance.
