Room was nice. Definitely get a room with a balcony otherwise you have view of the road. Great location for the National Park. Short distance to the cute town of Grand Lake with many shops and restaurants. Restaurants are on site but very expensive and several of our food items seemed store bought vs homemade. Small microwave and refrigerator in room. Bathroom was very small.

Poor experience when I expected and planned for something great. I would guess they are short staff and must pick what amenities they are able to offer. The night we were there we wanted to visit the bar and restaurant as a central part of the plan. They had a live, local band and neither were possible. Cover charge, expensive drinks, no food at the bar of restaurant. We waited till 9pm and gave up. Had to go out to find a place to eat. Beds are super hard. AC was crazy - hot at 62F. No coffee in lobby or machine in morning. No staff at 7am. Coffee maker in room failed. No place to charge phone. Super small bathroom. Really nothing good. But not a lot of other choices in this town.

The room was very clean. It was in the rustic style and a little kitschy. The hotel has a restaurant and a separate lively bar. Both are very nice. The bar has pizza, sandwiches, and live music. The restaurant serves breakfast. Not free. It is convenient to the main thoroughfare and the park. The worst part was the booking smells in our room. We had to put a towel across the door. The best part was marmots on the rock wall in the parking lot.

Enjoyed our stay here. We were traveling with friends and booked two king rooms with balcony and mountain view for a night. The rooms were large with comfortable beds and the views of the mountains and lake were pretty (see attached photo). Check in/out was a pleasant experience. The restaurant/bar is run by another company and has a slightly different vibe. If you go to the bar, you should be sure you know what drinks cost. We walked around town but decided to eat at the hotel and our experience in the restaurant downstairs was pleasant.

This hotel is so cute and the decor is so rustic. The restaurant is a different entity of the hotel. The restaurant and bar are in need of some definite changes! The food, service and drink costs were horrible and outrageous. I would highly recommend the hotel but don't plan to eat or drink there!
