Great staff and accommodations. Beautiful resort with an amazing history to explore. We will return and hopefully it will be by train! Fantastic place to stay while exploring Glacier National Park and the nearby Blackfoot Tribal areas.

Enjoyed our stay. Good location if you want to experience Two Medicine. And don’t miss The Museum of the Plains Indian in Browning. Stayed on the 2nd floor in the main lodge. Room 260. Worried about lobby noise because this is a busy place. Lots of tourists and tour buses. But once we were inside our room it was quiet. Thick walls and a heavy wood door kept the noise at a muffled tone. And it got very quiet after 10pm. Comfy bed. Huge room with a large shared, covered porch accessed from the room. Mountain view room with one queen and one single bed. Kind of a tired and funky place but we didn’t mind. Clawfoot bathtub! The staff were friendly and always very helpful. Exceptional bellman. Shout out to Kyle. He helped with our luggage and gave a wonderful tour of the lodge on the day we arrived. The food was typical of national parks. Though the brussel sprouts with bacon appetizer was exceptional and my husband liked it so much that he ordered each night for his main dish. Very yummy and plentiful. We preferred eating in the Empire Lounge. Cozier and better sound quality than the dining room and they’ll let you order off either the lunch or dinner menu. I had the trout one evening. Somewhat dry and the wild rice seemed like it came from a box. Pretty tasteless meal. Probably worst breakfast of all the lodges we stayed in and super expensive. Keep in mind that the Pursuit Company runs Glacier Park Lodge and Xanterra operates the other lodges in the park. Definitely Xanterra does a much better breakfast. 2nd morning we went to the “Whistle Stop” restaurant for breakfast, just down the road from the lodge in East Glacier. It was terrific! We split the Spanish Omelette. Came with potatoes and toast. Not expensive and they don’t mind if you go next door to “Brownies” and bring back a latte. Nice hiking at Two Medicine. Enjoyed the scenic boat ride. Don’t miss Eagle Falls.

Lodge itself was clean and beautiful. However there are limitation with how you can visit park if you do not want to drive . Lodge should offer a place for rental car reservation for passengers taking Amtrak . Or it should have free shuttle to St Mary visitor center where NPS shuttle can be assessed .

Expensive experience for a Lodge with no air conditioning, no elevator. Thank heavens that we only booked 1 night. Our room was on the 3rd floor and in close proximity to the commercial restaurant exhaust fan. Windows open with dirty box fan running but we could not drown out the noise. The bathroom sink in our boat is bigger than the one in our room.

Glacier National Park is absolutely a must see in the entire world. This lodge is excellent and conveniently located to the East Gate - no permit required.
