Our family of 8 stayed in three cabins for two nights and enjoyed our accomodations. The staff was very kind and helpful (especially since several of our suitcases took an extra long ride on the train and we needed help tracking them down!). This type of lodging isn't for everyone, but for us it was a perfect way to spend a few nights in Alaska. A few things anyone booking the cabins should know: 1) These are cabins. This is not a four star hotel. These accomodations are purposefully rustic and part of the Alaskan experience. Adjust your expectations accordingly. 2) Each "room" is in it's own mini-cabin so if you're in a party that needs multiple rooms, you will be separated and need to go outdoors to visit other members of your party. 3) Handicap accessible accomodations are available - be sure to note your need on your reservation 4) Wifi is free and works well 5) There are no vending machines (this seemed to be an issue for another guest checking in at the same time we were) but the coffee shop and restuarant offer a variety of snack & drink options 6) The location is very convenient for Husky Homestead & Denali Jeep excursions 8) The gift shop has a variety of trinkets and clothing souvenirs and prices are reasonable 9) The staff is super friendly - be nice to them, too

Cheaper than staying near park entrance, nice clean friendly, hot tubs, best food next door, free shuttle to park, motorcoach pick up location, just the best location outside of village. I highly recommend the Denali Cabins!

Free Wifi. The wooden cabins are isolated and quiet, small but comfortable. Room 184 had a comfortable double bed, tiny bathroom with shower cubicle, sink in bedroom, TV, table and chair. There is a small restaurant with good quality reasonably priced food although half the menu not available the 1st evening and a couple of choices the 2nd evening. Staff friendly and helpful with a good choice of food for breakfast which was well cooked.

Room was small but mostly comfortable. It was very clean and was serviced daily by helpful staff. It wasn't cheap, but I guess that's to be expected. Two tips: stop at a supermarket in Wasilla for food if you plan on taking basic meals in the cabin; and, especially if you're a first-time visitor the area, plan to arrive in daylight.

Nice staff, small cabins

These cabins are in an OK location, particularly if you have a car although there is a shuttle to Denali Park entrance. They were clean and tidy but very small esp the bathrooms and a fridge in the room would have been useful. There is a nice small coffee shop on site and a full service restaurant (looked OK but didn't use it) other than a communal hot tub there are few other facilities, and not much else nearby (eg you've got a ten mile drive to find a grocery store) Staff were helpful and welcoming but it did feel a bit like a staging post for people setting off on Denali tours. Sorry, nice enough but there are probably better places to stay.
