We arrived by train from Anchorage and the Crow's Nest Cabins was there to pick us up in their shuttle and take us to the cabins. Check in was smooth. Front desk staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. They gave us a ride on the golf cart to our cabin so we didn't have to tote our luggage up a hill. The cabins are cozy and comfortable and a bit rustic, but clean. The hot water is usually consistent, but it sometimes comes and goes as you're taking a shower, but definitely manageable. They have happy hour from 5-6pm each night and serve free glasses of wine. Very nice to just sit and relax with a nice glass of wine and enjoy the view! They have shuttles running to the bus depot at Denali park every few hours so if you don't feel like walking to the park, you can catch a ride there, but we ended up walking back since it was only about 1.5 miles on a paved bike path. There is a restaurant onsite called the Overlook, but if you want to dine elsewhere, you can just walk down the hill to the boardwalk and find some local eats for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We ate at Prospectors Pizza which was at the end and had a great meal. Highly recommned staying here! We enjoyed our experience and would definitely go back!

Run, don't walk, from this property! 1. Cabin was dirty. 2. Single fleece blanket was cheap, burned, and not clean. 3. NO HOT WATER for all 3 nights of stay. 4. Sink leaked rapidly creating a lake in the carpet. 5. Construction poor, unfinished. 6. They were so unprepared for us, there were no bulbs in either bedside lamp.

Our 4 nights at Denali Crow’s Nest Cabins were wonderful. We stayed on level 3, in cabin 306, with windows overlooking the mountains and a small patio right outside our door. The cabins are cute and clean and situated on a hillside just outside the Denali National Park entrance. A stairway and path lead down to the little business district with a number of restaurants, and the lodge’s shuttle service provides rides to the park visitor center and the bus depot and the train station on a regular schedule. A call to the front desk at the end of the day brings the shuttle to provide a ride back to the lodge. The couple that manages the lodge and onsite restaurant (Ashley and Dan, I believe) are enthusiastic and accommodating, as was every staff member we met. Most serve multiple roles, staffing the front desk, ferrying luggage up and down the hill, and driving the shuttle. The shuttle drivers, especially, went above and beyond, with good humor, to make sure everyone got picked up as needed. We would stay here again in an instant. Note that the lodge has no elevators up to the several rows of cabins on the hill, but I believe there are some more-or-less ground-level cabins, so be sure to inquire if this of concern to you. There also is a ramp to the cabins on level 3. But the stairs weren’t a concern for us, and we loved the hillside location – the view is beautiful. We also highly recommend the onsite restaurant, The Overlook. We have provided a separate review of that.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Crow's Nest Cabins. We also stayed at one of the other large hotels for a couple of nights, and we wish we had spent our whole time in Denali at the Crow's Nest. The location is close to shops and restaurants but it is nestled in the trees in a very peaceful hillside location. (Be aware that you'll need to climb some stairs to get to your cabin.) The cabin was comfortable and clean and more spacious than rooms in the large hotels for the same price. There is no phone in the room and no mini-fridge, but they supply ice and an ice chest if you need to keep something cool. The included breakfast (if you make your reservations through the hotel directly) was a grab-and-go box of fruit and juice, eggs, and breakfast snacks. Wine was served on the deck in the afternoon. Very nice! The restaurant--The Overlook--isn't open every day but be sure to make a reservation. The food and wait staff are excellent. The staff was great--helpful and hardworking! Sign up for the shuttle when you check in and they will take you to the park, shopping or the train.

Nice ...clean....modern ...excellent restaurant there. Make sure you have shuttle service with whom ever you choose. These folks have an excellent shuttle service. Shops and booze and food within walking distance...a challenging walk.... 150ish feet elevation between the motel and shops...nice path with lots of steps.
