This is a wonderfully newly remodeled complex from new paint interior/exterior, new window, driveway, lighting, signage, and wonderful seating areas near fire pits. The unit I stayed in was nicely equipped with an AC, walk in shower, large flat screen, and comfy king sized bed. The room had dual entry points into the parking lot for easy offloading and a rear access door to a large patio relaxing area. The fit and finish of the unit had a cool almost hipster like vibe but yet remained firmly attached to the 1950/60's comfy feel. My favorite touches were the plywood benches at the entryway, so you can quickly removed your gear-shoes after a hike or bike and walk directly into the shower. The shower had large glass doors, newly tiled floor to sealing walls, and fresh tubs of body soap and shampoo & conditioner. I appreciate the little things companies do to decrease their environment foot print. And an oversized fridge for enjoying a cold refreshing adult beverage at the end of the day. The towels were spa like soft and the room was quiet and peaceful. I was technically visiting during the off season so had the run of the place. The staff at the front counter, Sasha & Amber were delightful and provide me with a delicious iced coffee. Another first for me. Generally hotels/motels provide you with some gawd awful Folgers crap. The entryway and check in area has all that you'll need for a nearby hike. I particularly like the weaving in of second use recycled material to create benches, tables, and relaxing area. Jesse the manager was professional, courtesy, and gave me a fun and insightful tour of the property and future plans. He spoke with energy and passion for the newly remodeled property. Something you rarely see in today's service industry. I am eager to visit the other vacation sites. Jesse was delighted to show off the double queen bunk beds, expansive adjoining balconies,…that was first a for me!! This place seems to fit everyone from the avid hiker, relaxing enthusiast that just wants to get away, the pool goddess that 's needing peace and quiet, the bachelor/bachelorette party goer looking for a one stop hotel near town-bars, and the family looking for a place for the little ones to enjoy pool time, nearby hiking, and finish the day with s'mores by the fire. Well done Field Station and the team. Looking forward to visiting more sites in the AutoCamp family of hotels.
