This is as scenic as it gets. We stayed in the one of the buildings near the lobby and restaurant and it seemed safe.Has its own air and deck. People were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant is very good and not expensive. We did take out and did one breakfast on the big deck. There was plenty of room.I thought there would be better walking trails on the property. It take about twenty minutes to get there from Moab but on the other hand Moab is all congested due to road work. No comparison how much nicer this place is than staying in town.

While taking a senic drive up RT 128 we decided to stop and have lunch at the Red Cliff Resort. It was TERRIBLE! Lunch was a buffet. You had a choice of hot dogs, hamburgers, or tacos. We choose the tacos. Big mistake. They only had broken taco shells. The meat was unseasoned ground beef (I suspect it was the leftover hamburgers). There was no salsa, guacamole or tomatoes. The taco was tasteless. The potato salad the typical supermarket brand. One bland taco,a scoop of potato salad and two iced teas cost $12. I expected to pay more for lunch but this meal wasn't worth $4. My rating is 1

this stay was not good. rooms were extremely outdated and price point was too high. service at desk was OK. definitely not be coming back here. would not extend our checkout to noon to get a hike in. food options were not good. 20 miles away from other food options. not worth the money.

We were careful in choosing a place to spend our special anniversary and Red Cliffs Lodge didn't disappoint. Firstly, the property is perfectly located on the Colorado River facing the stunning red cliffs of Moab. We chose a cabin right on the Colorado. We enjoyed the serenity, quiet , and drank in the beauty of our superb location as we watched the sunset from our deck and 2 nights chose to have dinner on the deck, rather than the dining room, as well. Originally, we thought we would explore some other restaurants in Moab during our 4 day stay; but, truth be told, we were so happy to be back at our cabin on the river after a busy day at the parks, we never left. Also, the staff was great. They were helpful and anxious to please. I have to thank Judy, the lodge manager, in particular,..When we checked in, we told them that we were having a special family zoom call to celebrate our anniversary and wanted to make sure wifi in the cabin was no problem. Well, cell service in Moab itself is hit or miss, and the lodge is no different. But, Judy, stepped up and said she'd give us the conference room in the lodge to use for our zoom call and there would be no problem since the lodge has a land line. The next day when we were getting ready for the call in the conference room she remembered and came down to make sure there were no unexpected glitches. Just like our entire time there our zoom call was perfect!

We will come back!

What a beautiful oasis of charm, down-home kindness, and perfect accommodations. Cozy and spacious two-queen suite with easy WiFi and all we needed for rest and relaxation. Magdalena was such a terrific horseback riding guide. Both historian and wrangler, she made us greenhorns feel right at home 6ft in the air! Jeremy was also a wonderful wrangler. Great to have a huge pool and hot tub after a morning in the saddle. We loved exploring the nearby Arches National Park and went on our own side trips to find rock drawings petroglyphs and dinosaur tracks. Food was delicious and the staff warm and accommodating. Thank you , Alex, Jacob , and Anna. They loved their jobs and it showed. The on-site movie museum was a lot of fun. We plan to watch Westerns when we get home. We recommend they put some of the Dukes movies on their TVs or maybe an outdoor showing on a large sheet of Rio Grande! Just for fun. Each person in registration was personal, helpful and professional. And COVID regulations made everyone feel safe. We hope to bring our adult children back another time. It is rare we talk of returning to a vacation spot since there are so many places to see, but this will be a happy exception. And only 13 hour drive from our home on the California Coast. Thanks, again.
