We just returned from our trip to Moab today and I feel compelled to share our experience. We only had a day and a half to experience what should have been a three or four day trip. Unfortunately, yet fortunately, we made it work and we're glad we did! We left Telluride at 10:30 am and made the spectacular drive to Moab in 2.5 - 3 hours, we stopped for pictures and potty break, but could have easily done in 2.5. When we arrived at our hotel, The Red Cliff Lodge, we were greeted by a well appointed staff, we were given a king suite with spectacular water and mesa views, well worth the money. We relaxed/napped for an hour, woke up, packed two coolers of ICE, WATER, snacks and sandwiches and headed to Arches National Park where we were able to drive through the whole park in just under three hours, sit and watch the sunset and take the whole place in amazement. We drove back just after dark to our large yet modestly appointed room and pulled our outdoor chaise lounge out on the grass to take in the MAGNIFICENT star studded, full moon extravaganza above. We woke in the morning to indulge in the fabulous breakfast buffet for only $13. Delicious and plentiful. Then we considered doing a 1/2 rafting trip or four wheel thing, but in the end we decided to head to Canyonland National Park for that INCREDIBLE, not to miss experience. It took probably 4 -5 hours of our day, but well worth it! We were going to come back, jump in the river and then head back over to Arches, but honestly, you need to plan a paddle board or kayak half day in order to really enjoy the river experience. So we went back to our room, freshen our ice chest and went back to Arches National Park. Each hour of light is different so we experienced completely different things than the first time. We had made 8:30 dinner reservations and we were delighted we did! The appetizers, salads, trout and salmon were divine and the sunset was SPECTACULAR from our table!!! When then crashed early and made the OUTSTANDING decision to catch the sunrise from our room. One word, AMAZING!!!!! We will definitely stay at The Red Cliff Lodge the next time we go, which can't come soon enough!!! My only comment to the hotel would be, pay attention to your rooms and the little things, our shower didn't drain, the bedspreads and linens could definitely us refreshing/update/new. And lastly, the front desk staff although absolutely friendly, had very little information or able to give direction/recommendation on what we should do while in Moab. They did not seem knowledgable, but do note, very friendly. If it were me, I'd say "you must see the arches at sunset, definitely sign up for a paddle board or kayak early." Other than that it was a FABULOUS experience!!!!

They accommodated us so well during this difficult time (Utah was code orange at the time). The views are unbelievable - a 360 degree panorama of beauty. I loved sitting on the patio of our cabin on the river and listening to the river and the birds and the breeze and taking in the scenery. The food was great and they have an option to purchase a boxed lunch if you are going to go out hiking or recreating for the day. EXCELLENT breakfast buffet! Nice pool. This lodge has a rustic, western feel with all of the modern day amenities that make travel a pleasure. It is about 15-20 minutes down the road from Moab, but it is worth the drive and there is beautiful scenery along the river the whole way. They had sanitizer everywhere and they observed very good social distancing throughout the lodge. The staff members were extremely friendly and helpful! They didn't have housekeeping (probably to minimize virus spreading) but I didn't mind - that is understandable.

Red Cliffs Lodge is an absolutely amazing place to relax and recoup. Wish we could have stayed more than 2 days, but this was a traveling vacation. We will definitely be back! The views are picture perfect. No wonder they filmed movies here! The sound of the Colorado River gliding by your back porch is so comforting. And we would have loved to go horseback riding, but time was short. Next time we will plan to stay longer! There’s just so much to do in the area. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food from the restaurant was delicious. Thank you guys for a being a wonderful part of our vacation! ❤️

Great hotel. Really beautiful 20 minute drive up the Colorado River from Moab, but well worth it to enjoy the views and get away from the congestion. Again, do not get a regular room, make sure you get the 2-bedroom cabin. Stand alone cabins with a kitchen area and two separate bedrooms. Long porch with view of Colorado River and mountains. Check out the winery and had a really good dinner overlooking the river in main lodge as well. Great stay and only regret is that the morning horseback ride was already full. Top-quality service at front desk. Not fancy accommodations, but the location, views and privacy are well worth it.

Very nice lodge in ‘middle of nowhere’, which means quite (although there are families and kids), semi secluded, in middle of nature. And the staff I was exceptionally nice and accommodating and displayed a great sense of humor. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the bathroom more than adequate with two sinks and ample space for toiletries. Shower ok, enough water pressure. Bets were comfortable, as for the pillows. The curtains allow for a complete dark room and there was no noise overnight. Each room as an outdoor patio, ours overlooking the river: superb. Each room has fridge, microwave and coffee machine. Finally you can get a breakfast buffet for under $13. The breakfast buffet was excellent with many fresh pastries, many fresh fruits, several yogurts, a few different omelettes (as well as boiled and scrambled eggs), bacon, sausages, and more. Overall great experience, would certainly recommend.
