A Very Nice, Comfortable Resort

I'm here for the golf (fantastic!), so I'm not sure what other stuff there is to do. I did see something about zip-lines. Maybe the summertime clients are more inclined for outdoor activities, but the October crowd seems too old for that sort of thing. If you are less than 70, you will be the baby among the oldsters. But so what? The resort is very nice. The rooms are comfy, the dining room cozy. Two complaints: all of the ice machines are broken (Ice available in the bar), and the elevator is the slowest elevator in the universe. I just take the stairs to the 3rd (top) floor.

I would not stay at the Running Y Resort again. The grounds are lovely. I'm not a golfer but the course looks great. The real issue was the service. We made reservations at the restaurant when we arrived. They only had an 8 pm slot. We decided to try to get sat earlier and got a table on the patio at about 6. It took 20 minutes to get a server to our table other than a quick drop off of water. We finally got our meal at about 7:40. The kicker is that another party got seated near us at about 7:15 and were told there was no more dinner service. They were having 'kitchen issues'. The resort is pretty remote so you can't just get up and go to another restaurant easily.

I was unable to make my appointment due to car troubles on the way up. I called about an hour and a half later. I was dealing with my vehicle and being stranded. I asked to rebook, but after I was informed of the "no show" policy with zero tolerance...having my card charged for a service I had no choice but to not make it...well, I will make sure to never book an appointment at this spa again.

I had booked the Ultimate Facial online which was advertised as being 1.5 hrs long however it was only about 1 hr and 10min long and they still charged me the full price. The aesthetician was knowledgeable and provided a relaxing experience however if you’re going to advertise that your service is going to be a certain amount of time long then you should honor that.

THE BEST experience every time! So relaxing, professional and the perfect self care. I have done facials, massages, and various other services and I always am longing for my next appointment! The staff is also so kind and always helpful in all aspects!
