Great to have a fridge, microwave and tea & coffee in the room. So much storage in the room and easy parking on site. Although a little further out than other hotels, we still walked into town some nights and only took 20 minutes or we have the free roam bus pass so don't let that put you off. We had some issue with check in app but able to easily check in 5 minutes walk down the road so wasn't a bother and only other slight thing was the Aircon is super noisy and we were on ground floor so had no window to open only a door so couldn't leave it open but we just didn't blasts of Aircon and it wasn't awful, especially as weather starting to turn. Would highly recommend!
Nice place with a friendly price

The mattresses are not that comfortable, in my particular case I need a firmer bed. Good place for the price you pay, and comparatively with other hotels in Banff
Lovely little motel, would stay here again

Rooms were clean, well maintained and spacious. Safe and fridge in the room. Free Roam Pass for duration of stay was excellent and bus stop just round the corner. Courtyard was nice. Free parking. Very quiet. Use of Caribou Lodge spa. Comfortable beds and pillows. Gas station/convenience store very useful just across the road. Free Rocky Mountain toiletries.
We stayed in room 118.
Cons: Shower cubicle was a little bit small, a larger person would find it a bit restrictive. Room was a little bit dark - needed light on most of the time - and couldn't leave blinds open as windows faced courtyard as we were on ground floor.

One of the best optiins to stay in Banff

This is your best option pricewise and downtown is only a 15 minutes pleasant walk or short bus ride away. By the way they provide you with a free bus pass which you need for your travels in and around Banff. Pick up of this pass is at the Caribou lodge.
The room had everyrhing we needed including a kettle to make tea. Tv channels give you a lot of options and they have the bath products from the local Rocky mountains store.
At the time we were there, end of June, there was still enough space to park your car.
By foot it is a 6 minute walk between check in and out motel Caribou lodge with a more than friendly staff. You may also check in by app but this app was not updated for an android phone possibly because most people has an iphone.

TERRIBLE, inflexible hotel. DO NOT RESERVE.

Published Date: Jun, 26, 2024 Travel Date: Jun, 1, 2024 Rating: 1 This hotel is extremely inflexible in its cancellation policies. It requires cancellation FOUR DAYS before the reservation. While we bear some responsibility for not reading the fine print far enough in advance, most hotels/motels offer some flexibility and grace. We tried to cancel two days before our reservation, but they would not give us any grace. And, they were rude about the fact that we called what we thought were two different numbers, i.e. a 1800 reservation line and the hotel property itself. So, we were SOL and out $400. We are frequent travelers and have rarely encountered such rude reservation staff and this degree of inflexibility.
