Lovely two-floor cabin. Mine had bedroom and bathroom downstairs, whilst upper level had kitchen and 'living' area. The resort has a number of cabins, so some will no doubt have different layout. All very well-equipped. Nice balcony with view out to the lake. Very helpful reception staff. Next to reception area, there is a very well-stocked 'market store'. I never used this but the store has a 'deli' with a range of prepared food. Word of advice, carefully read the information sheet which you are given at check-in or I defy you to work out how to change the bath's tap from filling the bath to turning on the shower. When I asked reception for advice, I was told this regularly puzzles guests. Very well located for visits to Yosemite National Park. It makes sense to ensure you reach the Park entrance early as, even in late-September, the queues are dreadful by late morning. Bass Lake itself is delightful and great to drive around. Lots of places to pull off the road and use small 'beaches'.

The Pines Resort was seriously the perfect escape for me and my husband! We had the best time just relaxing by the peaceful lake. The Spa Suit was so cozy, and it made the whole trip feel extra romantic. We also discovered Ducey’s on the River for dinner and the food was delicious! The staff couldn’t have been friendlier. The perfect mix of adventure and relaxation.

The true definition of rest and relaxation with spectacular views, presidential lakefront suites and all the amenities you can just think of. Whether you're an outdoorsman and ready to take on the countless available activities, or you're all about champagne and bubble bath in a jet tub, sunset from the jacuzzi and a book with a lakeview, this place is the perfect choice all year around. Everything you need is at the resort (activity center, resturants, bars, market, post office, conference room, event venue, gas station, boat rental, etc.). The staff is absolutely wonderful with great attention to details. The food and drinks at Ducey's are all top tier. I wish I could spend a few months there

Disappointing- don’t stay there

We came for a wedding with family and friends. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. We checked in without incident however the Chalet was dirty. Mildew and dirty carpet. Although the hotel advertised WiFi there was none. There was no cell service either! They said they were working on it but we never got service. When we tried to use the house phone to contact other guests at the resort it also did not work. When we contacted staff they commented, “we deal with a lot of moisture here and mildew is hard to keep up with” when I asked why they just did not get a booster for unit so we can access nearby conference WiFi they said, “if you are in IT - you can come fix it” they told me to be patient and offered no apology. We left after 3 days with no svc. The food was good and the wedding bartender Nancy was amazing. The wedding coordinator and staff were more interested in getting their team of vendors and staff fed before the guests. This was especially disturbing given that appetizers ran out. At the rehearsal dinner they mis-spelt brides name… We could go on. Pines resort does not seem to care enough about their customer experience. They don’t seem to try anymore.

Stayed a week within the RCI exchange. Location is perfect for Yosemite. Took about 30 minutes or so to drive to the South Entrance each day which was not bad. Close to Oakhurst which had some good restaurants. Many reviews say the cabins were dated. I would agree. The appliances were old and looked awful, the carpet in bedroom had been torn and patched and had some stains. Bedding blankets could have been better and more comfortable. Kitchen utensils were sparse and not many bowls plates etc. For the most part it was clean, spider web issues throughout the cabin that I myself knocked down. The lake and area around outside was beautiful. So it’s about the location and the outside. Not an inside retreat, but it’s doable.
