reasons: 1. broken WiFi, it's not weak signal but unable to connect; 2. hot water runs out quickly, after two people take bath you have to wait another half an hour for the heater to heat the water. 3. Service is horrible. Front desk said they will send me receipt in email when I checked out, but never received it. 4. Room is not clean, my kids took off the shoes and walking barefoot on the floor for a few minutes, the white socks became completely black with muds/dust. Will definitely not come back again, also saw some chained brands hotels being built in Oakhurst, could be a much better options for Yosemite visits in the future.

I rented half of a chalet, and it was great. Up the hill, in the woods, surrounded by pine trees. The staff was friendly and efficient. Even though there were other people waiting to check in, my business was sorted in less than 5 minutes. The chalet is spacious and could easily accommodate a family. There's a large main area with kitchen (stove, microwave, tv), a nicely set up bedroom on the lower floor, and a loft. It's clean and quiet, and about 15 minutes by car to Yosemite.

We were in the Chalets, not the main building which meant that there was no real view of the lake. The Chalet was spacious with a kitchen and living area on the main level and a bedroom, bathroom on the lower level. There is also a loft which requires one to climb a ladder, we did not see the need to use it. It is about an 45 minutes from the South Yosemite gate, so for the price it was perfect. There is no maid service but if you needed anything like coffee, towels, shampoo, the front desk was happy to run it up to you. There is a laundry facility on site, but the detergent dispensing machine was broken and had to buy laundry soap at convenience store located on premises. We spent 4 nights and had dinner in both restaurants and breakfast in the main dining room. Food was quite good, breakfast was great! There are also shops, deli/convenience store, pizza on site. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed at Pine Lodge for 2 nights. The hotel and rooms have a very ‘cabin’ type feel about them, lots of wooden furniture and their decor is very country. The room we had compromised of a kitchen area with sink, fridge freezer, microwave and stove, lounge area and a terrace with a BBQ. Downstairs was the main bedroom, and bathroom. The rooms are very dated but comfortable, however we had no house keeping at all during the two nights we were there. The hotel has shops, and two restaurants; one is more budget and diner like, the other one is more upmarket and more expensive. This was a great budget base for exploring the local area and Yosemite

The people were very nice

My husband loves to stay on the water so based on all the pictures of this place, I thought it would be perfect. Well, from where you check in to where our chalet was located, we could not even catch a glimpse of the lake. I guess I missed the "lake view" option when making our reservation. So that was disappointing, but more so for me was the cleanliness - or lack thereof. Everything was old and dirty. I kept my flip flops on the whole time I was walking around inside because the carpet was so old and worn. I could see ringlets on the surfaces where drinks had been. My pillowcase was stained - and they put an old dirty decorative pillow on top of the folded down clean sheets. Even the store had a musty, moldy smell to it. I am admittedly very picky about cleanliness - my husband said he didn't mind. But the people were very nice! Super pleasant at check in, helpful with questions, and responded immediately when we had trouble with the internet. Also, it was very convenient to Yosemite.
