The Pines Resort is fantastic! This place has everything in one location, lake access (boats and kayaks), pool, Jacuzzi, funky bar, two restaurants and a full stocked grocery store with surprisingly reasonable prices. Nice hiking trails nearby and close to South entrance of Yosemite. The chalet where I stayed was tucked away in the back; very cute and quiet. The water level of the lake was a bit low, but it was early Spring...

What an amazing experience. We stayed here for spring break, two families in two cabins plus two sets of grandparents in the lodge. This was our second visit. Our cabin has been upgraded with comfortable beds, granite countertops and luxury vinyl plank floors. This place takes hospitality seriously. We met the matriarch of the family that owns the resort, and she impressed upon us that she is regularly telling her staff the art and science of being welcoming. She said, you never know what obstacles and challenges your customers faced reaching your property - what if they had a flat tire for example? She also said that she reminds staff that guests plan visits to the resort months and months in advance - they look forward to coming with great anticipation. Over and over, I saw how staff rose to the challenge of meeting these expectations. They were so welcoming and chatty. The housekeeping manager delivered me a knife sharpener and cutting board when I requested it. The maintenance manager told me all about the tech upgrades to improve the wi-fi on site. When I said that my husband might have more questions, and how to find him, he said, contact the front desk, they'll radio him and he'll gladly tell us everything. I'm telling you - everyone was so friendly! As for the accommodations (we stayed in the cabins) Everything was perfect. At first I thought, maybe I need a broom to keep the cabin clean; I had brought a swiffer from home and my own dust broom (good call, the one from the hotel room kind of sucked). Then I found a broom on the patio. The gym was operational, the rec room was lots of fun, the playgrounds in wonderful condition. A little bit of sand by the marina to occupy my children. We came with a large party - another family plus two sets of grandparents. Everyone is delighted. As FYI, the wi-fi can be intermittent across the campus - although not for lack of trying by staff. They have done everything right, it's just that we're in the mountains! Enjoy the lack of reception to completely disconnect. We remedied this by bringing in our own walkie-talkies. There is also robust internet inside the reception area (including the rec room), which is where I hunkered down to telework.

This was our very first trip to Bass Lake and my husband and I could not have loved it more! We stayed in chalet #117 with our two dogs and were very comfortable with a slight lake view. Every single person we encountered at the resort was so nice and happy to help. In five days, we ate at every restaurant at least once, and it was all so good. Loved hanging out at the Pines Bar. We were so lucky to see lots of snow in town and in Yosemite. We also saw tons of wild animals including a mama bear and two cubs on site. It was a magical experience, exactly what we were hoping for. We can’t wait to go back!

Loved getting away from home. Need bigger sofa for chilling in the room

Need a bigger more comfortable sofa upstairs. Love upstairs. Downstairs a little too dark and dungeon-y. The tv downstairs needs to be on the wall higher. Overall though we had a great time. Love being closer to the mountains. Parking is a challenge for people with larger vehicles

Great as usual!

We go there every year. They are very accommodating. They are quick to help with all our needs. Kids and adults all love it. The food at Duceys Restaurant and Bar both great! The store has everything you could possibly need. Will be back very soon.
