We booked a double bed room on Expedia for $191/nt for 2 nights because that was all that was available (it was a last minute booking). Being that it was last minute i still don’t feel it was worth the price. I will say the owners are very nice and the grounds are beautiful with the river/fountains. We arrived after 9pm so an envelope with my name with a key and map in it were taped to the main office door. Had to fill out paperwork next day at 8am. Parking was tight. We didn’t have to pay extra for wifi….it seemed included so maybe that changed as other reviews say otherwise…. And it worked well. Property is 20 min drive away from big flat oaks entrance to the park, but then still another 40min drive to yosemite valley where most of the main sights are. The hotel is right by the hetch hetchy entrance as well if you were planning to go there. The entrance wasn’t crowded but we were late risers getting there at 11am. Keep in mind if you’re arriving between May-Sept you MUST have a peak hours reservation booked on recreation.gov in order to enter the park between the hours of 6am-4pm unless you have lodging/campgrounds booked within the park itself. I repeat you WILL NOT be able to enter unless you have this. More info on the nps yosemite website. We didn’t know this and i found out right after i booked, but since it was within 7 days of our arrival the hotel or Expedia wouldn’t let us cancel without a penalty of first nights rate and taxes. Luckily we kept checking recreation.gov and a pass became available for the day before our arrival, but it’s a 3-day pass so it worked for us. Back to the room - physical KEY to the room and only 1 - no fridge or microwave- there is a common fridge sitting OUTSIDE next to one of the buildings….similar to the one you have in your home lol. It was FULL of food so no room. The room itself had super thick carpet, some worn looking chairs, and quilt like looking bedding. Kinda looks like your grandmas apartment. The bathroom was HUGE. Which is funny it’s a wasted space - the toilet is all the way in the corner and the door hits it if you try to open all the way. There’s 2 bottles: hand soap and Dawn dish soap, but just two PACKETS of a shampoo/conditioner combo and 2 PACKETS of body lotion. Coffee maker on counter. There was NO bar soap for shower or shower gel. The shower itself is the tiniest standing shower with a curtain! Barley big enough for one person. Yet theres this huge space between the bathroom counter and the shower lol. Also, the biggest reason for the low rating, the towels has stains, almost all of them. Light stains except one had a more noticeable orange one. It make me question how clean the bedding was even though it looked clean. Found some bugs in bathroom next day but hotel is located in foresty area right by the river so i wouldn’t blame the hotel for that. Overall it was an ok place to stay for a short stay being that it was relatively near to yosemite (which was beautiful btw- not much haze from fire but waterfalls not very full as would be expected in summer). For the price we paid, however, it was not worth it. If possible i would try to book elsewhere that would offer you possibly better amenities for the same price. If you have no other choice and understand what they do and don’t offer, it’s ok as it was relatively clean, maybe i had the one off experience with the towels.

This place is a bottom of the line, emergency only, sleep in your car before you sleep here, type of hotel. The rooms are outdated, dirty, there are NO amenities, our room was literally in a trailer even though it wasn’t advertised as that. We came home with ROACHES/BUGS in our bags. The coffee maker is located IN THE BATHROOM next to a filthy, cut in half, used sponge and half empty bottle of dawn dish soap. There are no night stands. The air conditioner was making noise and things were falling from it all night (probably the roaches), as if something was crawling around in there. They taped the key to the motel office door for our arrival because there was no attendant after 9pm. The ice machine is a refrigerator located outdoors. This place is a S***hole advertised as a family inn. GO ANYWHERE ELSE BEFORE YOU SPEND MONEY HERE. We had to wait until 8am to sign the paperwork or we would have (and in retrospect should have) left right when we opened the door to the room. The lady from the front desk is rude, and acts as if their worse-than-motel-6 is a Ritz Carlton and that it is pristine and clean, when in all reality it’s not even sanitary.

Convenient and cost effective

Small little cottages close to Yosemite emite park, since we weren’t going to stay in the room for long, we didn’t really care for the amenities just a place to crash for the night. Older looking rooms but the keepers were friendly and accommodating

The water in the sink and shower smelled like raw sewage, we asked about this and were told that all the water was like that.I couldn’t use the bathroom or sleep without airing the room out first because of the smell. Definitely wanted a refund

We had a wonderful time!

Loved sitting outside at night by the stream listening to the water and wildlife. The room was small, but it worked great for us, and the price was reasonable for the size. Breakfast was unavailable due to Covid-19. No maid service during your stay due to Covid-19, but they said to just call the office if you need anything. Verizon cell service wasn't too good, we did end up paying the $10 for the Wi-Fi but we were there two nights.
