The staff and owners are extremely friendly and helpful! The whole hotel is beautifully appointed and very clean. The upper deck and back patio are a big plus. It is obvious that the whole town is working very hard to cater to guests. We will definitely choose the Hotel Charlotte if we pass through Groveland again.

I had a really nice one-night stay at Hotel Charlotte. The hotel is charming and the room was cozy with a comfortable bed. The folks who run the hotel and restaurant are very kind and welcoming. They had a band playing the night I was there, and it was lovely to eat dinner outside with a cocktail and listen to live music. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in Groveland or on my way to Yosemite.

Great place with very accommodating host, Finn! Tea and coffee are always available in the comfy lobby; nice beer garden (with cornhole) in back! Host went out of his way to help us out. Nice stop on way to Yosemite, would definitely stay again!

Stayed for 2 nights in Room 15. Management were very friendly. The room as nice and clean (though the bathroom could do with some TLC) - note this room has a jet tub and if you have mobility issues you may struggle to get in) We had cocktails and food on our 2nd night and it was very good - good honest comfort food. The hotel is old (103 years) with many original features and a short drive to Yosemite. All in all a pretty and comfortable place to stay. The owners clearly care about this hotel and it shows. Recommended.

We were really looking forward to our stay at this small HotelInn based on my conversations with the owner Finn - he was very personable and seemed welcoming. This immediately changed upon arrival. The woman who checked us in was cold, arrogant and certainly not interested in making us feel welcome nor helpful in any way. She clearly couldn’t be bothered! This attitude began from her first words when she asked if I heard the comments/info she told the woman who proceeded me in check in. If you work at or represent a small hotel/inn of this size you should have warmth, personality and an interest in meeting, talking with and helping others. The room itself was small with only 4 hangers on hooks. The bathroom wall has a large hole in the wall, the jetted tub does not work, staff was put out when I asked for ONE fresh town and a bathmat! - this combined with the unfriendliness of the only representative of the property ever there (staff hours limited to 3 pm to 9 pm) I highly recommend you look elsewhere for a welcoming experience.
