Overall experience was 4 out 5 only due to reservation, billing and check out issues. The setting is better than average due to the on site golf course adding to the setting as well as the convenience factor of being on the highway. Facility itself was very pleasant as were all the staff. Rooms were well laid out and appointed. Lounge and dining were very good including the quality of food. I can recommend the Grouse Mountain Lodge for all travellers.

At one time this was a pretty fancy place but that time has long passed. First of all the staff and pleasant and helpful and it's a pretty nice setting along a golf course. The fitness room is nicely equipped. But, the bad outweighs the good here. The rooms and hallways are dark. They're trying to conserve energy which is good but they're doing it partly by by using low wattage CFL bulbs which make everthing look yellow and don't produce much light, LED's would work much better. The walls and ceilings are paper thin, so you hear everything your neighbors do, sounds like the people above us are moving furniture around. The shower is a strange design and its nearly impossible not to spray water all over the floor. Lighting over the sinks is not very good for shaving. The hot tub is barely 100F. Whitefish is an old railroad town and there is some train noise. The parking lot is in need of repairs. This is a pretty expensive place for Whitefish and it just isn't worth it.

nice place, the rooms were very dark I suppose that's for atmosphere, no do not disturb signs, housekeeping could do a better job on the tubs so hair was left over, the walls are very thin so you can here your neighbors easily

We stayed 4 nights during shoulder season - mid-May. The accommodations were very nice, and at a good price. The rooms are large, and well laid out (the bathroom is tucked away to offer some privacy). The hallway noise can be a bit much, so pack ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. The hotel is only ~ 0.5 miles from downtown Whitefish, with plenty of food & entertainment options. It's about a 30-minute drive to the Glacier Park, so be prepared for that.

Beautiful resort-lobby and views are spectacular! We were just relaxing so we did not check out the entertainment in bar, etc. but it sounded like there were plenty of activities to be entertained with.
