A quaint little village of cottages. Lovely surroundings, lots of things to do and a lovely atmosphere. Had a nice time here. Great for a getaway or to be able to explore the Yosemite Valley. Loved the swimming pool, jacuzzi, loved the rec centre for relaxing and great activities, like a ping pong table, board games. We stayed at W14, loved the sound of the stream through the bedroom window, the squirrels, and the birds. Can be a little dark and co fusing at night to find your way to your cabin. Bring a flashlight. Also parking can be a problem.

Yosemite is truly breathtaking, and it was an amazing experience coming all the way from the UK. Evergreen Lodge was a fantastic place to stay, offering plenty of activities for the family, and the rooms, which were big and provided a wonderful, authentic connection to nature. The staff were incredibly helpful, with special thanks to the manager, Tom, who went above and beyond to take care of us and make our trip both meaningful and enjoyable. Our flight was delayed, which impacted the time we got to the hotel, but he was so accommodating . Another mention to Noah, who checked us in and was one of the friendliest and most welcoming receptionists we encountered on our road trip. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer—two nights at Evergreen just wasn’t enough!

The staff was amazing. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The vibe around the pool was great (nice tunes playing, but not too loud). It was a great atmosphere for families and couples. The food was fantastic (poolside BBQ to dinner at the Tavern). The drinks were tasty too. Hot tub was big (could have been a bit warmer) and the views were awesome! We did a guided hike to Dewey Point and Chelsea guided and educated us throughout the day. The live band on Saturday evening was great too! Accommodations were perfect for us (L7) small cabin with a queen bed, room for our luggage, nice bathroom and shower was good. Overall, it was a great experience for our first time at Evergreen Lodge. We will be back!

Tour/activities were fantastic! Be sure and make a park reservation on weekends

We stayed Thursday-Sat. It was a last minute trip so hadn’t done much research. We chose Evergreen based on the mostly positive reviews. It is a nice property - although pretty far removed from the actual park. The tours were definitely the best part! Highlights *Wonders of Yosemite tour - We did this tour on Friday. Our guides Bailey and Dante were awesome. We learned so much about the park (including its history, plants, and animals) and saw all the unbelievably beautiful sights. They thought of everything- they had extra water, strategically planned out bathroom breaks, and even had a picnic blanket for our lunch. We ended up being the only ones on the tour and they were happy to switch up the itinerary for us. They kindly took pics and made it such an enjoyable day. Definitely recommend taking this tour! *Stargazing - Thanks to Bob and his amazing telescope we got to see the Whirlpool galaxy and several nebulas. Even saw a few shooting stars. So cool! *Fire pits - These were super enjoyable on Thurs evening. Not so great on Friday when it was packed with the S’mores throng, lol. *Beautiful grounds - There are several paths around the property, which make for a nice stroll. There’s even a stream and a few hammocks. *Restaurant - We enjoyed the burgers for dinner as well as the omelettes for breakfast. Rio and Danny were top notch servers! Lowlights: *Our cabin (C2) was ok. The view from the balcony was the cabin next door. Not so great. Maybe the cabins in the Wapama or Sierra areas have better balcony views? *Hot tub wasn’t working *Didn’t have a park reservation (please learn from my mistake) - We stayed Thurs-Sat. Didn’t realize we would need a park reservation to drive home on Sat morning. We were planning to take Tioga Road (120) to highway 395 but weren’t allowed through without a reservation. We had to drive almost two hours out of our way going northwest through Sonora. 😢 We made the best out it by checking out the delicious cider at the Indigeny Reserve (a recommendation from Bailey). But still. Not great. Bottom line - go during the week if you can!

Stunning location but service leaves much to be desired

Location is stunning and closeness to Yosemite Park is a big plus! We stayed in one of the tents and that area of the resorts is well done. Our main issue is with the service provided. The communal areas (toilets, showers) were not cleaned at all during our several night stay. Given heavy usage, they were not a pleasant sight. Food-wise, the options are limited. We tried the restaurant for breakfast and dinner and service left a lot to be desired. Recommended, but you have to be prepared for severe service shortcomings, which came as a surprise to us, given the price is certainly towards the high end!
