I will probably not come back because it is too remote for me from OC but my adult children will definitely return. They loved it here. The staff was very friendly but internet was spotty. We stayed only one night on a road trip for our honeymoon but wish we had stayed longer !
Beautiful cabins and cottages in a peaceful quiet area, with great restaurant on site and tavern with live music that was so fun at night.
I had left behind a piece of jewelry and before I even contacted them to ask about it they said they had already left me a voicemail and made the mailing arrangements to return it smooth and easy.
Will defiantly be returning :)

From the start with the Event Coordinator, Yohanna, we were at ease about my daughter's big day. Everything was spectacular from the food to the friendly staff, accommodations and activities. Prior to our arrival and during the entire event, Toma(wedding coordinator), made sure all the details were in place for a no stress weekend. We were able to enjoy the event without worry. On the day of our arrival I spoke with Angie on the phone regarding our arrival time and she was helpful and informative. Still beaming about this once in a lifetime event at a spectacular venue! We will be back for years to come.

Cozy cabin out in the woods

The Evergreen Lodge is located in the woods well north of Yosemite National Park, in fact on the road that goes up to the Hetch Hetchy valley and dam. The Lodge is a collection of individual cabins of various sizes, mostly duplexed, as well as support buildings. We arrived on a Tuesday afternoon, and stayed for three nights in one of the more modest "Vintage" cabins. It was rustic, but comfortable, spacious enough, and had a shower bathroom. Sleep quality at night was excellent, and the cool mountain air in the morning a delight. While we had intended to use the lodge as base for day trips down to the national park, we did receive material that showed the lodge also offered a number of activities, events, and guided tours (most at additional cost). We found the hotel staff to be friendly, efficient, and helpful. And next to the reception office is a well-stocked general store, with a selection of goods including souvenirs, drug-store items, and a variety of food and beverage items. Wifi was available and the connection pretty solid.
The Evergreen Lodge is about an hour's drive from the park each way. This compelled some change to our daily schedule. Though we'd paid in advance for a breakfast plan at the restaurant each of the mornings, after the first, we found it more efficient to cancel the plan (and were refunded the unused portion) and just buy from the general store breakfast items, such as fruit, hard-boiled eggs, cheese, cold cuts and drinks. This saved time getting on the road down to YNP. Similarly, we had dinner the first night at the Evergreen restaurant, but after that found it worked out better to get meals at Degnan's in Yosemite Village at the end of the day and just bring them back for quiet, cozy dinners in our cabin.
Overall, our stay at Evergreen was a welcome change from the usual chain-hotel environment. Its isolation makes it perhaps not the best base for visiting the national park (at least, when one is doing the driving one's self...), but that same quality was a virtue when it came to the peacefulness, solitude, and quiet in the mornings and evenings.

We stayed in a cozy cabin at this beautiful lodge, and from the moment we arrived, they’ve made it special. We were welcomed with four complimentary cocktails (due to the inconvenience of early check-in feature that was not met), plus two extra just for our anniversary! The lodge offers a delicious complimentary breakfast in the tavern each morning, and we can enjoy s’mores by the outdoor firepits at night. Absolutely splendid stay!
