I enjoyed 3 stays in 2023 at Hatchet where I'll always stay for its consistent & helpful service, quality rooms, quiet setting with views & the best location so close to GTNP. Through the years, I've stayed in different rooms at Hatchet for its clean rooms & grounds, comfy beds & showers/baths, good WiFi, 2 good on-site restaurants (1 with full bar), gift shop, & outdoor seating areas to take in awesome views of the Grand Tetons. In the past, I stayed at other Jackson Hole properties until I found Hatchet, a peaceful getaway from the crowded atmosphere of Jackson.

Nightmare in Moran

A nightmare stay. We paid $309 for one night yet when we arrived and checked the rates online it was about $200!
But the nightmare began when we tried to sleep. On four separate occasions we were woken loudly by the faulty smoke alarm
In the end I had to disconnect which was precarious in the middle of the night
I requested a refund the next morning and was told it was beyond the receptionist authority.
As we were only there one night we had to leave but feeling badly done by

Very rude and disrespectful people running this so called resort! We could hear the guests next to us using their bathroom, the bed felt like it was at least 50 years old. There was a foul smell in the morning that discouraged us from even thinking about eating in their restaurant which was very not very good! Very disappointed

I have to checked in to the Hatchet Resort at 4 pm, and was placed in the room where the plumbing repair was in the progress. Plumber left the room around 9 pm with out finishing his work due to the lack of necessary parts. The pipe under the sink was left open, and dirty, smelly water was flowing into my room every time when people next door were using sink water or toilet. I had to pour dirty water from the bucket each time when it was full.
I paid $309 per night, but manager refused to give me any discounts for inconvenience.

We booked 6 night stay in August and when we arrived in Jackson Hole we spent 1 night by the airport. My husband fell in the hotel room and broke his shoulder and 3 ribs. Hatchet Resort us 50 miles from Jackson, could not stay there because my husband was in the ICU, they would not refund $850 deposit in an emergency medical situation. Now I can understand if we just cancelled but my goodness we were in Jackson and I had to find a place to stay, very disappointed w the owners.
