We had a cabin, as we brought our dog along. Gave us much more privacy and quiet than a motel room. You can use the kitchenette, or they have free breakfast in the main lodge. Very nice place to stay. Since there was snow piled everywhere after the big storm it was a winter wonderland.

The room I stayed in was not renovated...old but clean...breakfast was average...the location was good but traffic was very bad and the bus ride back from the ski slope took about an hour each day...the staff was accommodating...it is a good option for Jackson.

Lovely outside, but not the best experience inside

Pros: location to downtown. Cons: there were many. First, the heater was very noisy and would not shut off even after I turned the entire unit off. With the loud fan, it was hard to sleep, especially with hot air blowing over the bed. Second, I was disappointed at the tiny size of the TV, and worse, it did not support streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, etc. I travel extensively and have not come across a reputable hotel that does not support streaming. Third, and most importantly, my room was super noisy. It was noisy from people and traffic coming in from the street, and it was noisy with footsteps and pounding upstairs all day and night. Lastly, there is collected ice on the path from the lobby to the sidewalk where my room was - this is a safety issue for slips and falls. For what they're charging for the room, it doesn't make sense to cut here.

We stayed in a cabin for a week. The staff were unbelievably kind. Every interaction with each and every person that entire week was great! 6 stars out of five. The location is good, we walked to most places, sometimes it was a long walk, but if we bundled up, that was fine. We took the ski shuttle three days (it leaves at three different times in the morning and returns at three different times in the afternoon). It could be crowded, but not too bad. Cookies in the evening was a fun treat if you got them. I think the indoor hot tub is always broken, but the outdoor one works and keeps you at a nice temperature. The cabin itself was okay. Very small, the kitchnette had two stove eyes one of which was very finicky, the dishwasher was convenient but a pain to load as the the rack was bent. But it was very nice to have over all. Even just to boil water for tea. We had to call maintenace 3 or 4 times and most times were told that the issue was because someone new had installed something wrong. They were very prompt to respond and fixed all of the issues we brought to their attention. But 4 issues in a week is quite a few. Again they were always very kind and quick to fix things. The one downer is the heat. It is impossible to regulate it. Even when set to 58 it will sweat you out. We tried turning it off at night or leaving it on and opening a window, but the neighbors were a bit loud. The heat and maintenance are the main reasons for 4 stars instead of 5 though. Great place and would stay again.

Well, not the best…

The service at this place is very good. We arrived several hours early; and they were able to accommodate us with a room very close to the lobby. So, that was nice. However, this is an old building. As such, it lacks things like sufficient wall outlets to accommodate even our two phone chargers simultaneously. So I recommend a power strip. We didn’t see many buffalo on our trip. But, we’re pretty sure a large herd of them moved into the room above us. So a lot of creaks, and thumps from other rooms. Again, it’s an older building. But the real topper was when I went to shower in the morning and found the shower regulator was missing a set screw and just spun around. So, yeah…. It’s sad that the condition of the place doesn’t live up to the service level of the staff.
