Check in was very fast, staff were very friendly and helpful. When my door didn't open a member kindly went back to check in and recharged my card and opened my door. The room was big, clean and comfortable but décor was a little dark. They had a recycle bin in the room top marks. They had onsite parking and a laundry. The village was very pretty and had a great selection of restaurants . Smith's supermarket had bulk bins for loose options and Vegan food. They also had a cinema in town. Nearby Jackson hole cable car ride to the top for great views of the Teton's.

We stayed 3 nights, then left for two nights on a snowmobile trip with Old Faithful Snowmobile Tours, then we returned to the Elk Country Inn for three additional nights. From the time we checked in and out...then back in and out again...the staff was wonderful. Matt, at the front desk, was extremely helpful and gave us great tips on things around town. All the staff we encountered were courtesy and helpful. We stayed in a two-queen room in the auxiliary building. There is some construction on the complex at the current time and it will be a work in process throughout 2019. They are building a new lobby/pool/conference/breakfast area. The construction did not affect us in any way during out stay. It was winter, but we did not experience any noise, etc. from the work. The location is more on the edge of the downtown area, but we walked everywhere. The town is small and there are many conveniences near the motel. There was a convenience store nearby and several restaurants. We generally do not stay in pet friendly motels, but we had no issues with our room. They had several little “extras” that were nice. They had “older” rags in the rooms if you needed something to clean up your boots, luggage wheels, etc. There was a safe in the room, along with a refrigerator and microwave. There is a laundry on site that we did use, and it was 1.25 to wash or dry. It was very convenient. They had coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby areas and COOKIES at 5:00 in the main lobby! If in Jackson again, I would not hesitate to stay here.

No hassle stay here. 2 night stay. Warm, comfortable, very quiet. We didnt even hear a youth ski team that was staying in the building. Hot chocolate and coffee right in the hall way. Vending machines had all the good stuff as well. Pet friendly with dog treats upon check in. I needed an ice scraper and they gave me a free branded Elk Country one. Had rags available in the room for whatever. I always need a rag for something like cleaning my boots. Easy access from vehicle to room. Convenient to down area. Dont be fooled by the small little lobby or the odd layout of the parking lot. Great breakfast buffet offered by their sister motel the 49er next door complimentary.

I highly recommend this place...again. The cabins are comfy with separate bedrooms and a living space with a kitchenette. They are presently building a new common area and adding rooms and cabins which look like they will be even nicer. They’ve given thought to unusual amenities and nice toiletries. Not the usual ho-hum Neutrogena. Easy walk to town and great restaurants and shopping.

Western Charm at easonable prices -- for Jackson
