Loved this little town on the lake. Clean & comfortable room, located within walking distance of everything. Would choose an earlier time of year next time. Remember that you are in a remote part of the country.

Views, Views, View and Lots of Comfort
Everyone loves a cozy, lodge like room with a view. We had a view of town from the balcony, and so fun watching everyone in the evening and so quiet in the morning. There are also lake views of the lake as well. Efficient and helpful staff, connected restaurants, make this the place the go to place in Waterton. Walking distance to everything you would need or want in town, including the lake boat trip, which is a must. Have fun, relax and enjoy!

A Spot Where They Once Drilled for Oil... if you can believe it..
The Bayshore is basic. Don't expect much in terms of whatever hotel luxuries you are used to. The walls are thin, the upper level bounds like someone is above when people pass your room on the walkway.
But.. the rooms are warm, and clean, the staff are generally friendly and the best thing... the location right on the edge of Waterton Lake,.. is an unshakable constant that brings a tingle running down your spine when you look out to the view from your deck.
The upper level views can be blocked by trees, so go for the lower levels, where the view of the water is clear, and the sun sparkles on it after sunrise,.. the trees... I wont spoil it... see for yourself. Sure, you will judge for yourself too.. But the charm of Waterton is the smaller sized accommodations that compliment the quant village. If ever Waterton builds anything larger that this - it will spell the end of the appeal of the place.

Great location. Dated motel.
We stayed here for one night in Room 205 and it’s definitely a more rustic motel and keep in mind, there is no elevator. I don’t think you’re going to do much better in this town, though. But, it’s in a lovely location right next to a walking path following Waterton Lake and it’s within walking distance of everything including Cameron falls and the boat dock should you decide to take one of their cruises. The town is easily walkable within an hour. We were with a tour group and some of our rooms weren’t ready when we arrived. Our guide had asked the front desk if we’d be able to keep a couple of items behind their desk (i.e. backpacks, carryon bag, etc.) and it really was only about 3 bags, but the gentleman (not sure if he was the manager, an older Indian gentleman) wasn’t overly enthusiastic about doing that and clearly wasn’t bending over backwards to help us out, so we ended up putting our bags in our guides room until ours was ready. We had our welcome dinner and breakfast at their Chophouse restaurant and I would say it was average. The dinner was marginally better than the buffet breakfast.
Room: The furniture is dated. There were flies in the room (and in the restaurant) and I just hate flies – they’re so filthy. There were a ton of TV channels, but the TV kept freezing up every few minutes. The following are provided: safe, coffee maker, iron, ironing board and mini fridge (plug it in!). This room has a balcony overlooking the parking lot. The view of the other balconies is nice because they’re all adorned with huge baskets of flowers. The beds were relatively comfortable.
Bathroom: The bathroom is very small with no counter space, but you can hang your toiletries bag from the hook on the door. There is a small wall heater which provides a lot of great heat in the bathroom which was nice. In addition to the usual soap and shampoo, a vanity kit and shower cap are provided; nice selection of toiletries. No bathroom exhaust.

Be sure and get a lake view room so you can sit outside on your balcony and enjoy the atmosphere. If you are bothered by noise stay on the second floor because you can hear people walking in the room above if you are on ground level. It is an older hotel but very clean and nice comfy beds. This will be my choice for accommodation the next time I visit Waterton.
