Alaska lost power and this hotel handled it great. Management and staff did everything they could to make it a great experience. Everyone was so helpful and polite. Gave us flashlights and carried our bags to the rooms. We would definitely return and stay there again.

I loved my room at the Edgewater with a great view on the bay (sea and mountains) and a balcony. My room was big, the bed was comfy and the free breakfast was alright. The location is great if you want to walk along the coastline. The room was booked for me by a tour company and I would definitely stay there again.

We booked three rooms and were sorely disappointed. The bathroom was tiny and the sink outside of the bathroom was a mere 18 inches. There was barely enough room to place your toothbrush. The beds were uncomfortable. We were provided a shampoo and conditioner and a soap the size of a half dollar that broke into pieces if you dropped it. The hair dryer was not to be found. There was no fresh towels or garbage pickup on Sundays since they had no cleaning staff. The remote in another room did not work. It would have been nice of them to advise us of the room service situation beforehand. These rooms were booked through Expedia and they said the manager would call us within 24 hours they did not. I called and asked to speak to the manager. Yolanda after my return home and she never returned my call. I learned not to use a third party when making a hotel reservation in the future since if you have a problem . they really cannot offer any assistance. Additionally there was no parking. $425 a night and no amenities. Stay somewhere else!

We arrived from the Celebrity cruise ship and we were aware rooms would not be available as it was before check out time. Sky at front desk was very accommodating to store baggage. After we did the dog mushing tour and lunch, Cole advised room was ready. We were staying 2 nights and they do not change towels unless you are staying more than two nights. That was okay. Room a little bit tight as was the bathroom room but it worked for us and loved the location as it is a block to the sea life center and the free shuttle stop. Did not have the breakfast as we found other options that were less expensive. Friendly staff and yes it was a bit pricey, but it is peak season in Alaska.

The staff at the Edgewater were professional and responsive. Yolanda the manager provided special touches for my birthday! The view is fabulous- I did not want to leave my room! Super clean!!!! Delicious food at Zudy’s and The Cookery nearby. We want to come back and stay longer at the Edgewater!
