Drove from Anchorage and went to check in only to find out there was no reservation. Had to call the travel agent on a Sunday evening to figure out what happened. Was told there was a mix up with the local tour agency. Gave us a room & said they would settle it the next morning.

Be careful of which room you’re given

There are rooms w tiny opaque windows, and which have no AC. No sun or view, with stuffy air. I’d like to know why these rooms exist, and how I was chosen to have one of them? Staff admits there are many complaints. I think they were hoping I was another shrinking violet and wouldn’t complain. Only saving grace was they immediately placed me in a better room when I complained.

Stay Away!! Horrible stench in every hall and our room. Our AC is so loud, obviously broken, we can't talk to each other in our room! We were told to open the window..zero help from management, maintenance or the front desk. Everything in this hotel is old, no updated anything in the entire hotel, it's gross.

This is not a good hotel. We stayed here two days while we were visiting Seward and taking an all day cruise. The hotel staff were ok, but young and inexperienced. The walls of the room were very poor, you could hear people walking around and being loud all night long. The heater in our room didn’t work, and although they claim someone came to inspect it after the first night nothing changed. They did not have a space heater so my wife was cold each night. They have a bug problem, and their breakfast is the morning is way overpriced for what they offer. My wife and I loved the cruise, but would not stay in this hotel again.

The hotel room has pad a window AC unit that made a lot of noise and did not work well.
It was pouring rain the entire tile we were there and there was no transport available except for the Seward shuttle running every half hour but the hotel did not know when they run. We were already soaked from getting our luggage at the train station
The hotel staff was not helpful and we had to wait in the lobby from 11:30 to 4 pm
They had strict policy on giving the room at 4
This miserable hotel charge
A a very high price and breakfast is not included and cost $18.95 per person
I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.
