We loved Salt at first sight. Super friendly and helpful staff. Such a welcoming reception and little daily delights like cookies and cider. Loved the heated pool and hot tubs. Cottages were modern and clean and well maintained. Just a note that while there is a microwave and college fridge there is no cookware, utensils or stove. Worth the price. We would definitely come back

Great decor. Fun atmosphere, but also relaxing. Nice little gift shop. It’s very helpful to have the small kitchen there and canned cocktails and beer. We enjoyed the heated hot tub and s’mores by the fire. The beds were very comfortable and housekeeping was excellent.

We stayed early August with teens - had a really great stay, loved the property and the staff! We stayed 7 nights and loved coming back to our cottage and the swimming pool after very active days in gorgeous Acadia. The food in the Picnic spot is great, we loved it for breakfast and dinner with continuously hungry children + fun beer/wine for the grownups. Acadia is literally a 1/4 mile up the road and so convenient. We will be back for a fall visit - love love - thank you Salt Cottages!

We just returned from a 4 night stay and had a wonderful stay. We stayed in a 1 bedroom cottage with our 8 year old daughter. The rooms were nicely decorated and extremely clean. The cleaning crew did a fantastic job there and everybody on staff friendly and helpful. We were greeted after a long drive with glasses of Prosecco and blueberry soda which was a refreshing treat and they also left a nice card in our room with treats for our celebration which was a pleasant surprise and unexpected . They had a kitchenette with microwave and mini fridge which was useful to have. The pullout couch that our daughter slept on was comfortable and so was our bed. We loved the location. It was away from the crowds of Bar Harbor but so close to get there when we wanted to and also extremely close to the entrance to Acadia park. They had a restaurant there you could eat at if you didn't want to leave the property and two other restaurants walking distance from there which we didn't try. We did have breakfast sandwiches abs ice cream at the hotel which were both very good. The facilities were excellent. We really enjoyed the two hot tubs , pool, game room, and nightly s'mores by the fire pit. We highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in the area. Looking forward to hopefully booking another vacation there next year!

Salt Cottages are like having your own beach cottage complete with picnic table on your private patio. Decorated with a Serena and Lilly like vibe with cute furnishings and all the thoughtful touches. Great water views, location and pool with drinks and food provided on sight at Picnic. Game cottage for the kids. Our family of 11 ages from 9 mos. to 59 years loved it. Highly recommend!
