2020 Road trip
One of the nicest places we stayed this trip. Lovely decor, courteous staff, decent breakfast considering pandemic, close to Ntl Park entrance and downtown restaurants/shops. Would definitely stay here if we make another trip to Yellowstone area.

The Best in West Yellowstone
We love staying here. Easy to work with King beds are amazing and the pillows soft. Easy access pull right up to your room. The breakfasts are exceptional normally but with Covid they were cut down drastically. Nothing you can do about that though. The only criticism is I wish they had a little brighter light in the shower toilet area of the bathroom. Everything else though is excellent. My family and I have been staying here regularly for over 20 years!!! We keep coming back each year.

Nice quiet location.
We stayed here for 4 days while visiting Yellowstone and were happy with the choice. It is very close to the west entrance which made it very convenient. There is more than adequate parking which was also very nice. We chose the Grizzly Building based on other Trip Advisor recommendations which was the right choice.
The room was quiet and very comfortable. We had 2 comfortable Queen beds which were heaven after a long day at the park. Small refrigerator with an attached microwave was nice. Great temperature control since it was mildly warm in the daytime and quite chilly at night. Bathroom was large. One issue was the glass shower door did not close adequately and kept sliding off the rails. I suspect it was just a loose screw but it did make for extra exercise daily trying to close the door. Hopefully they will fix it such that the next occupants don't have to deal with it. Breakfast was a pickup of various items such as microwavable breakfast burritos and omelets. Juice, coffee and yogurt were also available. McDonalds in the adjacent parking lot with only drive through option. No cleaning service was available as expected so essentially everyone just left their garbage outside the room for pick up.
COVID precaution flyers were all over the place but as others had mentioned they were not enforced. The staff as far as I could tell did wear masks every time we saw them which was great. I suspect this is more of a culture issue of the hotels in this area since other reviews of other hotels had the same comments. Really the mask issue appears to be a guideline and not a policy. We were prepared and just avoided the common areas. I realize that it must be hard for staff to confront their patrons to wear a mask at all times without potentially leading to an argument and potentially losing customers. Just be aware of your risk tolerance and make a decision that fits your comfort level. Enjoy.

It 'll do.
The ground floor room worked for us as we had fishing equipment to ferry in and out. No maid service because of covid was understandable but sorely needed. The phone didn't work, the TV clicker was taped together, and there was hair (not mine) in the bathtub. I don't think any supervisors were paying attention.

Great little find
Great hotel close to all the food and shops in town. About 1 mile from West Entrance to Yellowstone. Had a choice of this hotel and another and so glad we chose this hotel. The front staff were very lovely and extremely helpful. If you are lucky like we were you will see a bear out your window. Can't wait to visit again
