The tent was very clean and the staff was very helpful. I would pack some warm clothes if you are staying in the spring. The views from camp were amazing. There were several bathrooms and showers available. They were cleaned fairly regularly.

Having a great trip at Wander Camp Yellowstone! The beds and facilities are clean and well kept, and the scenery is beautiful! Would recommend to anyone wanting to be close to nature. Great sunset and sunrise views and very family friendly too.

The whole set up was falsely advertised - we were expecting a peaceful ‘wilderness’ experience. The camp is probable less than one mile from the highway as the crow flies and you can hear every vehicle flying down the road. I didn’t sleep a wink on the first night. The tent was okay, looked a bit stained from water ingress, but the bed was clean and comfy. The toilet block was clean but extremely user unfriendly. Steep, unlit steps without a handrail to get in/out and there wasn’t even any hooks to hang clothes, towel etc on. I get that this is an ‘off grid’ project but the solar powered water situation wasn’t good enough - water was lukewarm and the shower mechanism involved holding a pull cord to keep the water flowing. Not very handy!!! The on-site food wagon was NOT on-site which was very disappointing considering the site was still fairly well populated. The overall impression we got from the host was that as it was the last week of the season she had already started closing everything down to the bare minimum and that she just wanted to get back to her home in Vegas ‘before the snow comes’ - her words. When we got up after the first night the tent had let some water in and my wife and I both decided we wouldn’t be coming back for a second night. We booked a hotel for the night.

At check in we were greeted by literal children to check us in- maybe 14-15. They told us the tent number but couldn’t tell us which one it was. We get to the tent and it’s a king bed when I booked two twins, we go back and these children tell us to go to another tent that they THINK is available? Finally, they find us a tent bc apparently planning for arrivals that booked two months in advance is really hard. Then we have to go back and ask for the heater and lantern that were advertised bc they aren’t there, the lantern didn’t light anything, it was a cheap one from the dollar tree which the children also had to run all over to find. There are no showers as advertised, no lit paths as advertised, no leather back chairs as advertised, Horrible false advertising across the board. The bathrooms are disgusting, rarely have toilet paper, and won’t lock. Then to top off the whole thing, we needed more propane for the heater we already paid $20 extra a night for and they said we had to pay another $10 bc the propane was supposed to last two nights; the new propane lasted 4 hours on low… so not sure how that’s supposed to keep anyone warm for 2 nights. After looking closer this place has had 12 negative reviews in the last 3 months alone and have blown off multiple other people after they were unhappy.
