Adequate

The room was adequate, the bed mushy, and we had to buy paper towels and plastic cups. It was clean and on par with most of the places we stayed. The tv cable went in and out. It’s just out of town and on the way to the Exit Glacier.

Top notch! Dont hesitate to stay here!

I think I was supposed to call them with my exact times of arrival from the train but I forgot and called when we arrived. They did send the shuttle right over to get us and gave us Great suggestions where to eat and what to do. This place is a little off the beaten path. You cannot walk to town but we did get a ride back into town to eat and look around. It's just far enough to actually feel and look like alaska. The room was great. Nice kitchenette and a nice bathroom. ( make sure u look many hotels in seward DO NOT have private bathrooms) They are building an adjacent hotel and a " barn " venue to have weddings and events. It's gonna be fabulous! We had 4 couples and some are super well traveled. All were saying this was one of the best hotels they have ever stayed in because of the hotel itself, the people, the entire vibe was perfect. They have a bonfire pit outside u can use too! If ur outdoorsy this is ur people. Don't hesitate to stay here. Windsong nearby. Eh- that felt like an apartment complex. The spruce lodge is ur place.

Good spot for your stay in Seward

We liked the fact that it is just outside of town - would not have wanted to stay right near the water/docks. The rooms are clean and modern as this place is fairly new. The owners were very nice. Only about five minutes to drive into the town.

Clean, NEW rooms with onsite drive thru coffee bar!

The room was new, clean with a full kitchen, full private bath, box fan provided (which was nice as most places don't have air/fans), remote check-in with a code, and a drive thru coffee bar on site!
I wish I had found THIS PLACE in my original search of Seward instead of where we stayed down the road. The owner & this lodge were PERFECTION! I cannot say enough good things about their establishment. They are located on the same road as Kenai National Park-Exit Glacier which makes this an even better location if you are planning to spend time hiking there.

Mysterious Charges
User:

Published Date: Jul, 3, 2024 Travel Date: Jun, 1, 2024 Rating: 1 The credit card showed mysterious charges of 2/$50. Inquiry was made, and the claim was that the sheets were damaged in one of the 3 rooms with a pink substance on bedding and walls. The person staying in the room disputed this, and another traveler with us saw no such evidence of stained sheets and walls. This has never happened in our many travels around the world.
