The location is out in the middle of nowhere but within sight of many lights and the highway. Was really expecting a Dark Sky experience but lights from commercial stores and highway noise ruined it

The tents are well appointed with lanterns for night time use, wood fireplace, showers and bathroom. A fun camping experience without all the hard work of setting up a tent! Large and spacious tent. We truly enjoyed sitting by the fire after a day of adventures and chatting with new people we met. Highly recommend!

The tents are a perfect combo of real camping and staying in a regular cabin. The location seemed a bit far from everything, but there was plenty to do, with all the cons, 4 stars.

We were there late October and it was a cold night. We only needed to start the fire when we were getting ready for bed + the heavy linens kept us warm all night. We had only stopped here between Sedona and Zion for one night and wish now we had done two to enjoy the facilities more. But we did have dinner there our first night along with the s'mores at the bonfires and we had breakfast the next day. All the food was good. My husband uses a CPAP machine and they were able to give us a battery for it to run and we still had plenty of charge left in the morning. It was a lot of fun and we will definitely try to do it again on another vacation and stay two nights so we can enjoy the facilities better.
Love the concept, misses mark on execution

It feels like it’s a poor value for the cost and it’s not as luxe and glam as pictures would have you think.
First, the pros were the actual setting and the stars were out of the world and have to be seen to be believed. We ate breakfast and dinner the entire stay and food ranged from good to outstanding especially the salmon and the roasted carrots with a heavenly ricotta sauce. Service throughout was prompt and responsive.
Unfortunately we found many issues with the tent itself and this definitely affected the overall experience. First, the chimney/chute was clogged resulting in the smoke alarm going off the first time we lit the stove. Not a good impression. We talked to another family who also had the same issue and said they were very cold during the night. My first shower the pull chain mechanism broke mid shower and my boyfriend had to try to fix the mechanism while I was wet and shivering. Hot water was sporadic. It lasted 15-20 seconds before it got cold. Showering was not pleasant at all and it’s definitely not a normal hot shower like they make you think. The body wash was very hard to dispense and provided zero lather. Toilet paper and tissue felt like the cheapest one ply sandpaper they have in cheap motels and didn’t help my sinus issues in the dry air. Lamps went out within an hour so they were put into the tent not fully charged. The luggage rack collapsed with on my carry on on top of it. Bed was incredibly loud and creaky if you even sat down or shifted position in your sleep resulting in poor sleep. I feel like robes and slippers should be provided in the tent and also it should have actual outlets. I’m a woman with long hair and need to style it with electric tools and this was the sole reason I only booked for two nights and not four.
Overall I feel like this is a very average accommodation with a luxury price and not as glam as I was expecting. I’m aware of their ULUM property which would probably be more up my alley but still feel for some of the things I was expecting it should still be provided given Under Canvas is still charging a premium price for a not that premium experience considering basic features of the tent were not in proper working order. Unfortunately I was not able to communicate any of these concerns to anyone since we were not even asked how our stay was upon checkout. I was very eager to stay at some more locations in the future but now I’m not so sure.
