Nice hotel in a rustic sort of way. Room was clean, beds comfortable, no unwanted noise & views are spectacular. Shuttle bus to restaurants/shops was efficient & timely.Staff were excellent. Bathroom on the small size. Drink, dinner & snacks were on the high side, but given there is only a four month season, this is perhaps understandable.
We did have a nice bar dinner on one evening & it was very good.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Fabulous view but...
We stayed 2 nights as part of a cruise package. The hotel is perched on an impossibly high cliff overlooking the townsite. The road up is not for those afraid of exposure. The view is panoramic. However the quality of rooms is closer to 2 or 3 star than the lux that the price indicates. Service is friendly but not well trained or experienced ( even in a place where most service staff are from elsewhere). We had a chance to compare with Denali Princess and it is considerably better. We would not choose to stay here if it had not been part of a tour.

Centrally Located in Town
While visiting Denali National Park we stayed at the Grande Denali Lodge.
The rooms were clean but dated. Personally they could have put a bigger tv in the room.
I went to the bar to have a drink and after several minutes when the bar tenders walked past me without approaching me I got up and walked out.
At breakfast the next morning I $17.00 for two rather small eggs, hash browns, two strips of bacon and one piece of toast. How about 2 pieces of toast next time.

Amazing view and wonderful staff
We stayed 3 nights in June while visiting Denali and drove a car there. The train would also have been a good option since the hotel and the National park have good bus service between the locations of interest. The Lodge was very nice and the seasonal employees were super nice and worked hard to help all the demanding travelers like us. Most of the staff are from far around the world with interesting life stories. The food was great, and expensive as you might expect so far away from anywhere that food is grown. Only surprise was that you could not charge meals or purchases to your room so carry your credit card. The constant sunlight in June was interesting but bring your eye covers. It’s Alaska! Such. Beautiful place.

Quite a View
If you are going to stay at this property make sure you get a “view room”. The hotel is located high up on a hill/mountain overlooking the town, river valley and various mountain peaks. Beautiful! The common area lodge building is a very attractive log structure housing a bar, restaurant, deli, meeting room, reception area, etc. Our room was quite large, clean - quite adequate but nothing special. It is possible to walk into town but doing so leaves you with quite an uphill hike to get back up to the hotel. If you want to be in the middle of the action closer to the various area restaurants staying at a hotel right in town would be a better choice. If you want an unbearable view the Grande Denali Lodge is the place to stay.
