The room was well designed and when I had one issue, the team fixed it within 2 hours! Super close to the town square and unbelievable restaurant, 'Glorietta', is attached to hotel. The check in and lounge area was a great place to get some work done, drink a lot of amazing free coffee, and enjoy the fire.

Very run down, plumbing issues. sink was clogged upon arrival, shower head sprays out of shower stall from connection. The room is incredibly small. No where to even put bags except on the floor. Not a chair in the room. The fridge is so full of items to purchase you can't even use it to put your own food or drinks. if you are at the sink, the bathroom door can't be opened. paper thin walls. Two stars for walkability to the shops and restaurants.

Skip the Anvil, Stay Elsewhere

Let me start this by saying, usually if I don't have anything nice to say, I won't say anything at all. However, my wife and I were so disappointed in our stay at the Anvil, we'd be remiss not to warn others of what to expect when booking. We truly wanted to love the Anvil and we were looking forward to a fun 1 night romantic getaway from our kiddos for the first time in a year. We checked in to the Anvil and immediately, the vibe was off. We were greeted by an annoyed staff that didn't tell us about any of the amenities or services and didn't even tell us where we could find our room (in the detached section). When we entered our room the heat was blazing and there was no way to turn it off. Also, the window was wide open and there was no way to securely lock it (we were on the first floor right by the restaurant, so not having a lock on the window made us nervous). Utilizing the text-only number given to us on the "welcome sheet", we texted the front desk to ask if we could have the window lock put back on and the heat/thermostat looked at. No one replied for hours. So I finally called the front desk and they said someone would be there shortly. However, it took over 2 hours for a maintenance person to show up, at which time we had to leave for a dinner reservation. In addition to this, the hotel boasted that it has Brooklyn style with Jackson luxury. My wife and I lived in NYC and Brooklyn for over 14 years, and this paled in comparison to all the places we've stayed at in the city. The interior was incredibly bare-bones for the price (yes, I know this is Jackson but $500+ for a king bed and 2 hard wooden chairs, a broken heater and an open window is absolutely a price gauge). The next morning we were excited to sleep in since we didn't have our kiddos. Check-out was 11am, which we were totally fine with us because we had to get back to our family. However, we were woken up the next morning to numerous text and calls at 8am, 9am, and 10am asking when we would be leaving the room so they could turn it over for the next guests. Overall, we really did want to love the Anvil and be able to recco it. However, we found an unhappy staff that was slow to respond and even slower to help with basic needs that you'd expect from any motel/hotel and a sub-par, minimal room. The reason we gave this place 2 stars is because the location is pretty central to the main town square.

Cozy and cool lobby, great for hanging out with friends or by yourself catching up on the news. Anvil is located within short walking distance of all the wonderful stores and restaurants. Bus to the slopes and airport are also very close so we found that we didn't need a car.

Anvil is perfectly located to explore the beautiful town of Jackson. They have cozy rooms with a hip, western aesthetic with great attention to detail. The staff is very helpful & friendly. The Glorietta restaurant next door has superb italian-inspired creations with excellent drink & dessert options.
