Cute affordable hotel for walking distance to center of town.

All hotels are expensive in Jackson, but for or a few bucks more you can stay right in town at the Anvil and be in walking distance to the square. You can tell it was at one point a basic little motel, but they did a good job with the facelift and making it more modern and hip.

Overpriced but fantastic location

The location is fantastic - walkable to all the shops and restaurants in Jackson and just a short drive to Grand Teton National Park which of course is the highlight of the area. But there were limited amenities for the price you're paying to stay here. The rooms are sparse, bed was comfortable, and limited to no outdoor relaxation or lounge space.

Not a comfortable stay for family

Published Date: Aug, 7, 2023 Travel Date: Jul, 1, 2023 Rating: 3 I selected a room for 2 adults and 1 child, but upon arrival was surprised to find there was no sofa-bed, cot, or roll-away available for my 10 year old son. The response from hotel staff was underwhelming. They gave me the name of a local service provider from whom I could rent a cot for the three nights we planned on staying. Alternatively, they offered to move us to a room with two queens, which we accepted. I would have selected a different hotel had I known they had no options for additional bedding for kids.
The hotel's air-conditioning system was a window mount unit, which barely kept the room cool during our stay. The AC unit prevented us from opening the window so to get fresh air we just opened the front door.
There wasn't much counter or storage space in the room. Overall, our stay was not very comfortable.

The lobby makes you want to cozy up with a good book and a hot tea for hours on end. We walked to Cowboy Coffee and Persephone in the mornings, just right outside of the hustle and bustle. Best place to be in Jackson!
