Great location, mediocre service, terrible soundproofing

Hotel is located in a great area, walking distance to everything in Jackson. Unfortunately sound travels directly through all walls, floors, and ceilings making a good night's sleep impossible. Service was indifferent and a lack of parking means leaving your car on the street some distance away.

Our room was pleasantly spacious, the bed was quite comfortable. Parking was a struggle and due to altitude, our joints were swollen. Even though it was considered "between" seasons, there were no rooms to be had on the first floor. Consequently, I hated climbing all the stairs to get to our room. Still, great location!

Really nice place, the parking situation could improve but not a deal breaker also could use some complimentary coffee and possibly a microwave. I like that it was within walking distance of all the beautiful shops.

I stayed at the Anvil Hotel a couple of weeks back, and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The rooms have been beautifully restored with lovely fittings and decor, making this place fairly groovy. Sophia at the front desk was always really welcoming and made me feel at home, and Glorietta’s restaurant is fabulous and is located within the same complex, which was great because walking around outdoors was a shock to the system as it got real cold there a few nights.

We wanted a place to use as a base from which to explore the parks. The Anvil was very reasonably priced for the area. The room had a wonderful quaint feel and was very clean. The staff in the lobby we’re always pleasant and helpful and the lobby coffee was something special. I definitely would stay there again
