It would seem this motel (it’s not a hotel) is more about the look and location rather than comfort and value. Pretty disappointing considering the $500.69 a night price tag for a small room with a queen bed. The A/C heater sounds like a freight train, the hot water is inconsistent, the sheets don’t actually fit the bed and both guests in the room don’t get a night table. When you get to your room check the bedding out. Our queen bed had a bottom sheet that was too small for the bed and didn’t actually tuck in around the mattress. So weird and wound up being uncomfortable in the night as it bunched up under us. I got a hot shower in the evening before we went out but the husband didn’t get hot water in the morning at 8:15. I didn’t get a night table or power outlets on my side of the bed. There’s a little L bracket on the wall that will not fit an iPad or book but did hold my phone even though I could not plug it in. There’s complimentary coffee in the mornings but the espresso machine was broken and the drip coffee was awful. If you are feeling frisky be warned that the folks in the next room will hear *everything* you get up to. Would I stay again? No. Would I recommend? No. Does it look like hipster cowboy with a horse blanket, shiplap walls with black and gold fixtures? Sure does and the location is central. So it’s got that.

One of few affordable lodging options in Jackson, it was a cute, small "motel." Great free coffee in lobby. Rooms are stylish, but dark. AC was mediocre and couldnt open window because our room was right by lobby so had alot of traffic. Daily turn down service was great!

Anvil's main building is nice and convenient, but they have other buildings across the street that face a parking lot and restaurant which can get a bit noisy on weekends. Luckily things quiet down after 11pm. Breakfast is amazing and the rooms are always clean and tidy when you return from the day. Trying to find the rooms can be a bit challenging due to the other building locations across the street.

The staff here were really nice and the most pleasant we dealt with during our time in Jackson. However the property is in need of some basic maintenance. In our room the toilet seat was cracked, the bath tub was cracked, the taps were dripping and the towel rails kept falling off. Really disappointing considering the prices the hotel charges.
