Great hotel, spacious rooms, friendly staff, and a very nice restaurant on site. Right on the banks of the Chena River, right across the street from the starting point of the dog sled race, The Quest. Easy walk to several other restaurants. Be aware in the winter time, all sidewalks and parking areas in Fairbanks are covered in ice. Watch your step and be careful!

Best hotel in Fairbanks with the BEST FRONT OFFICE MANAGER

I loved this hotel! Their location is amazing, surrounded by restaurants and shops downtown. They have a good, free breakfast. Rooms are big, clean, equipped with fridge and microwave. But most of all, their manager, TAYLOR, is THE BEST MANAGER I have ever met. On our last day we had to spend about 5 hours in their lobby because our flight was at 2am in the morning. Taylor told me "You can be here anytime. This is your home". He helped us with the bathroom access, microwave, and shuttle to the airport. Marriott, if you are listening, Taylor is a keeper and definitely deserves a raise and a promo. THANK YOU Taylor and Springhilll Fairbanks staff. We had a great experience staying here.

Oh my, where do I even begin? My stay has been nothing short of exemplary, redefining the very essence of hospitality. This establishment is not merely a transient lodging—it is an experience, a sanctuary where comfort, professionalism, and warmth seamlessly converge. At the helm of this well-orchestrated operation is Lisa, an extraordinary manager whose unwavering dedication ensures that no request goes unfulfilled. She epitomizes excellence, going above and beyond to anticipate and accommodate every guest’s needs. Then there is Taylor, a veritable raconteur whose quick wit and effervescent personality will effortlessly lift your spirits. If you find yourself in need of a hearty laugh, he is an absolute must-see. The front desk personnel embody the art of guest relations with effortless grace. Austin and Janelle commence the day with radiant smiles and an eagerness to assist, setting an uplifting tone each morning. As night descends, Leslie takes the reins, ensuring that every guest feels thoroughly attended to.Mr. Leslie—he’s a gem, always walking around with a smile, radiating warmth and hospitality. And then there is Jaqueline, the hotel’s official greeter, whose warmth and hospitality are reminiscent of a seasoned concierge. With her background as a Walmart greeter, I believe, she will always greet and greet(literally) The culinary team is nothing short of extraordinary. Every dish is a testament to both quality and meticulous preparation, with meals consistently delivered hot, fresh, and accompanied by impeccable service. The kitchen staff’s affable demeanor only enhances the dining experience, making each meal an occasion in itself. Sanitation and comfort are held to the highest standards, thanks to a housekeeping team that operates with both precision and diligence. The accommodations are immaculately maintained, a direct reflection of the hard work and dedication of Brenda and Gabriel, who not only ensure pristine living spaces but also bring an air of warmth and hospitality to their service. Security is of paramount importance, and guests can rest assured knowing that Tim is ever-vigilant during the nocturnal hours, fostering an environment of safety and tranquility. The night shift is further bolstered by Kathy, a paragon of hospitality whose genuine kindness and attentiveness make late-night inquiries and requests an effortless endeavor. Beyond the core operations, the hotel boasts an exceptional shuttle service, helmed by an amiable and accommodating team, ensuring seamless transportation. The maintenance department, led by the affable Cody and Gary, ensures the premises remain in impeccable condition, addressing any concerns with expedience and expertise. And then there is Janice—an unmistakable presence, a true fixture of the hotel, whose animated personality adds to the establishment’s vibrant character. Whether one is visiting for business or leisure, Spring Hill unequivocally stands as the pinnacle of hospitality in the area. This is not merely a place to lodge—it is a refined retreat, a place where guests are not just accommodated but genuinely cared for. An extended stay here is not simply endured but cherished, making Spring Hill Suites the unequivocal choice for those seeking both luxury and familiarity. This is where I will stay and will continue to stay every year for six months! You should too!!

The hotel itself was very nice along with the rooms and the restaurant. It was the customer service at almost really left. A bad taste in our mouth, but one person went out of her way to resolve that. Our flight wasn’t until 1:35 AM but we wanted to get a shuttle at 9:00 PM to get there early. Even though it’s advertised 24/7 service, Leslie told us the driver wouldn’t get there until at least after 9:00 PM and maybe even later and we would have to book at the earliest 10:00 PM. She checked in the office to confirm the driver wouldn’t be there. She was terse and uncooperative and ill tempered and didn’t really seem to want to help us. Only well into the conversation did she softly mention that she could arrange for an Uber/Lyft “on our account” which I assumed would be the hotel’s. Before I could clarify, Jaclyn came out of the office and said I could but 9:00 PM shuttle if I didn’t mind waiting five or 10 minutes. Leslie started to argue with Jacqueline that he may not be there until much later. Jacqueline simply said “I just called him”. Jacqueline exhibited incredible Customer Support by taking the initiative when she didn’t have to and took care of us, even though she wasn’t the person who was initially helping us. She turned things around for us and made the encounter a positive one.

Nicely appointed rooms, free breakfast and great location

The rooms are big enough for a bed as well as a pull out trundle couch bed thing, and also come with a refrigerator and microwave which was great for keeping and reheating leftovers. Breakfast was mostly the same everyday but they did rotate one of the items so it was a breakfast sandwich one day or a quiche another day heated up in a package. They did a good job at keeping everything filled and although the oatmeal was thick, they had regular as well as alternative milks to add. The only negative was that only one elevator was working so it could be slow going up and down, but hopefully that was a one-off during our stay. Very conveniently located in downtown to multiple restaurants and the shuttle is a plus to get to and from the airport! Pro tip head to the gym in order to refill your water bottles
