Not only is the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Grand Canyon located near the Grand Canyon, but it a great place to stay when visiting the Grand Canyon. The rooms are modern and v,ery clean and the staff is so friendly and most helpful. The complementary breakfast was delicious too.

Location is why people book this hotel. There are not many other options when visiting the Grand Canyon. Hotel was fine for what we needed it for. Room had a coffee maker yet no coffee. Why bother putting one there if you aren't going to stock it? Bathroom was very, very small. We barely could close the door once we were in it and we are not big people. A bit ridiculous. Breakfast is included though it's nothing special. Imelda (staff at the breakfast area) was absolutely fabulous. One of the friendliest hotel employees I've ever encountered. She truly goes above and beyond for guests! Front desk staff was fine at check in and when I requested to move my room to not be near an elevator, they were accommodating. You're not traveling to this location for the exceptional hotel amenities so it truly is fine to use as a base camp to explore the Canyon.

Pleasaont, clean hotel 10 mins from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon

I stayed here for two nights, visiting the Grand Canyon. This Holiday Inn is clean and comfortable, and the staff quite friendly. The included breakfast had surprisingly good scrambled eggs, which I appreciate! I'd happily stay here again as it's way cheaper than staying at the South Rim itself, and the Rim is 8 - 10 mins drive away.

LAUGHABLE RECEPTION

This hotel seems in need of some upgrade especially well trained receptionist. As a platinum IHG member, I was offered a window opposite the elevator with no window which I spotted immediately on the hotel plan before I accepted the room. I was reassigned for another room in the front near another elevator which the receptionist did not seem to be aware of. The bathroom seemed pretty dated with tub/shower only. Breakfasts were acceptable with little choices of bacon, sausage and egg white scramble.

As a retired Sales Executive I have traveled extensively and many times stayed at IHG hotels. My wife and I stay at Holiday Inns often when we travel. During this 8 day trip we will stay at 3 Holiday Inns. But this one was simply bad. When I got in my room I discovered that there was no soap. I called the front desk and they said the hotel had no soap!!! So use the shower gel!! You mean that they could not send someone down to the local supermarket and get soap? Where's the managet - Oh he went home for the night (leaving a hotel with no soap!!!) We paid $300/night for the room. This is just poor management and and a non-centric customer service organization. POOR, POOR and shame on Holiday Inn for allowing this to happen.
