Outside of being very convenient to the south entrance GCNP this hotel offered the basics for the price. The room was clean but any extra ‘amenities’ you had to request from the front desk (ie. lotion, blow dryer, coffee/tea). Also, the grab & go breakfast was a cold bagged meal which seemed minimal compared to the other hotels we’ve been staying at of equivalent level. One bonus was the indoor heated swimming pool which my son enjoyed. It was supposed to be max 10 ppl but no one enforced that so when it became crowded we left.

We booked for two nights to see the Canyon and they let me cancel one when we made a change of plans to head to sedona. No charge. Staff at breakfast and front desk were amazing. Nice to go bag of yogurt fruit and granola that we ate at the canyon. Doors are very loud when shut and lots of banging from people above us. Lots of families and kids. Room was either freezing or hot haha. I would give a three but the friendly staff and flexibility make it a four. Cheaper than staying in the Canyon and only five minutes away.

Minor issues, but overall, good stays involving clean, comfortable, quiet rooms

We booked this hotel for a one-night stay and had a good enough experience that we chose to rebook it for a second night. There were minor issues with our stay on both nights--one of our rooms had no cups of any kind (seriously, Holiday Inn, you can't afford to give your guests paper or plastic cups for water or coffee?!), the other room had an improperly working microwave oven--but in the grand scheme of things, these were minor annoyances rather than actual problems with the hotel. Our rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable on both nights. Check-in and check-out were easy and efficient, and the person operating the grab-and-go breakfast was friendly and very good at his job. The hotel has powerful showers, which we loved, and excellent, fast wi-fi.

I am here on a Solo trip to the Grand Canyon. Have always wanted to come here and it is AWESOME. If you have not come here you must, I waited 55 years. Glad I chose this motel. The workers are so nice and helpful. Grab and go was supposed to open at 6:30 am. They served me at 5 am since I was heading to the GC to experience the hours before sunset (must do this). The darkest and most the lack of any sound for almost an hour.

Enjoyed the stay! The hotel room was clean. The morning staff provided us with coffee and a breakfast bag at 4:30 am. This was a very nice surprise, since we were leaving so early. I was glad we stayed outside of the park. There were a number of restaurant options and we were closer to our destination for our early morning start. I would stay here again!
