Convenient location to be able to walk downtown Jackson shops and restaurants. Motel seems sparse on parking and we were worried to move our vehicle thinking that we might have to park further away, but it wasn’t an issue since we chose to walk, and parked around 4 PM daily. When you come in, there are earplugs on the nightstand telling you “not to be a bear” , did not realize it was just foreshadowing the very loud noises from walking above. I think we were in an older area of the hotel that was renovated, but you definitely can hear every movement and footsteps from the people above you. In addition, we had very loud talking outside of our door at 12:30 AM. We are not used to “motels” with the door to the outside at this price point, so that’s on me not realizing that outside noise could be an issue. Since breakfast is not included, and Jackson is very expensive, we were grateful as a family to have McDonald’s breakfast nearby. If money is not an issue, there are several places within walking distance for a nice breakfast. The indoor and outdoor pools were pretty and large. The fire pit areas were welcoming. The rooms were modern, with space saving amenities and great decor, which did make up for the very small space. We appreciated the water bottle filling station at lobby and in room microwave and refrigerator. My advice would be to stay on the top floor, or ask if certain buildings are newer, where you could choose a 1st floor if needed. And my advice would be to be prepared for parking lot noise/loud neighbors returning, if you’re not accustomed to motels.

We booked at Mountain Modern during our wedding week and it was awesome! Location is perfect, rooms are clean, comfortable and SO cutely decorated. Mountain Modern was the only accomodation that gave us a discount on wedding guests, without making us book a certain number of rooms or put down a huge deposit. Amazing place and will stay there again!

The hotel is nice but during my stay we encountered a lot of issues and management promised to make it right but never did. Water heater was broken, housekeeping forgot to clean our room and pool was closed for two days due to maintenance. Management stated they would make it right but never did.

Especially liked all the room and storage space that was in the room. Places to put everything. Communication was also great through the whole experience

We wanted something within walking distance to a concert we were going to. Just took a chance and ended up loving Mountain Modern! We will definitely stay there again! Clean and easy check in. I love how dark the room was at night, slept great, comfortable bed!
