We cannot say enough good things about this hotel. We arrived by train from Anchorage and our bags were brought from the train to the hotel. Josh at the front desk was great. Rooms were immaculate, well appointed and roomy. AC was QUIET and the blackout shades were a blessing! Breakfast was also great and varied, and we brought in dinner one night and ate while the bar was open in the dining room. Late checkout (thanks again Josh) and our bags were brought by the hotel to our ship. What service!! We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and/or stay there again. The "chain" hotels should take note.

This hotel is clean and relatively new and seemed to us like the gem of Seward! The rooms are quite spacious and there's plenty of parking. The breakfast isn't the best we've had, but there are hot eggs and waffles along with some fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt and pastries. It's an easy walk to the dock area, and it's about a mile up to the downtown area. There's a laundry too. We've stayed here twice and would return!

I loved my stay here, it was extremely clean, and accommodating and centrally located close to eateries and pubs, and a Safeway with in walking distance. They have washer and dryer to use for a fee, in the laundry area they have a microwave to warm up food. The views from my room were awesome. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. They have a small store there for snacks. They offer a shuttle service taking you with in town. And they have Breakfast which was great. They offer luggage service to cruise ships, and train.I highly recommendations Seward Gateway Hotel. And most certainly would stay here again. Having Multiple Sclerosis travel is always extremely difficult but I found Seward Gateway Hotel had made my travel expedience the easiest ever without even knowing of my disability.

Getting a 3 stars because of the price does not meet all the expectations. This is the slowest internet I have ever experience in my life. It was .06. Could not do a single thing. It is crazy. Also, we got here at 9 a.m. we then took a tour, walked the entire town, did everything. The lady at the front desk told us our room would be ready early. Not the case. They are weren’t even going to tell us it was ready and we were sitting right in front of them. Walls are thin. Breakfast was small. Pluses are the beds are comfortable, it was clean, and the rooms were large.

Highly recommend. New in 2022; still like new rooms, buildings, and facilities. Very clean. Very nice and helpful people. Very nice laundry room. Spacious rooms and building. Great central location in the town of Seward. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. Due to its remote access, prices in general are higher in Alaska and especially during the summer season. It's the price of visiting this amazing place. Totally worth it.
